Very few AAA games indeed, at least they sold very well rather pathetically though.

Corrected mistake ;)

That list in itself shows why noone cared about releasing AAA games for the Wii. Why bother if all you can get is 1-2 milion sales ?

For the same development + marketing budget you can probably make 10-20 showelware games which will sell better without effort and risk.

People cannot buy games that doesnt exit... Resident evil 4 (a port) sold almost 2 million copies, GE007 (another port) sold 1.5 mill, COD reflex (port again) made it to a million. The audience to buy AAA games were there, but the 3rd parties were just too blind to see it. Not that most Nfans care about them anyways, at least I dont.

well... I'm thinking if "Sonic and Mario on the olimpic games" should be considered as AAA 3rd party games...

I remember when everyone was laughing at the prospect of this title selling 4 million, but I don't know if it should be considered third party since it had Nintendo's collaboration during development.

Sadly, Monster Hunter Tri is the only game on this list that is truly comparable with HD AAA games (in terms of production values and publisher backing, not quality).

i know is technically is not a good example as it is a port, but I enjoyed the Godfather port. Some of the best motion controls on wii i think.

lets revive this one. to the top.
