Forums - PC - GOTY Skyrim - IT'S HERE

Four days for most of us who can buy it on the official release date.

Damn, I have so much stuff to do in order to get ready for Skyrim and be able to dedicate all free my time to it.

Instead of seeking to convince others, we can be open to changing our own minds, and seek out information that contradicts our own steadfast point of view. Maybe it’ll turn out that those who disagree with you actually have a solid grasp of the facts. There’s a slight possibility that, after all, you’re the one who’s wrong.

I am going to try out Elder Scrolls 4 first before I buy this game. I like epic RPg games but some of them just do not feel right.

"GOTY" awards mean nothing nowadays

there are like 200 anyway, so every game mentioned in this thread will get a couple of them and all of you can be happy

Skyrim looks pretty interesting, but as I never got into Oblivion (it just bored me after ~15h) I probably won't be picking it up. Maybe I'll rent it from a friend someday, if any of them buy it.

lol a game has to be quite good to keep you in there for 15 hours...
lol

Well, it's a big game and I ran around the map a bit (without using fast travel) and finished the story and stuff, but there potentially is much more to do.. but it just felt tedious to me, so I stopped playing and never looked back.

people can sink 100-200h into that game, so 15h isnt much

Yeah true, in such games, 15 hours is just to get the story going.

I was thinking about getting it, but as I still haven't finished a single run on Dark Souls and I have some stuff to write, I'll skip it for now. if there will be DLC, I'll probably wait till next year then.

the words above were backed by NUCLEAR WEAPONS!

I hated Oblivion with a passion, it is the worst game I have ever played.

...Yet I love Fallout 3 and I'm seriously considering buying Skyrim, weird.

What is good and bad about Oblivion, I am thinking of trading in 2 games for it and buying it used for cheap.
I like epic RPG's, but more of the FF type.
