Cool story bro.

Thinking about it, I need to go and replace my elite tbh, but I've already brought those little socket ethernet thingy majingys :L

Disconnect and self destruct, one bullet a time.

Good shit son, you got a solid deal I think. I don't know what the going rate for Pounds to Canadian dollars is but sounds decent.

Anyway, there's my story of how I got a brand new Xbox 360S 250gb, 2 years extended cover, 6 games, a HDMI cable, and 12 months of LIVE, for little over £200. Pretty good bargain. I also figure that if I get into any financial trouble over the next few months (which, as a student, is likely), the 360 will have very high resale value (still going for £120+ on ebay), so I figured it was a fairly low-risk purchase.

Are you at Uni ?  Don't they have a careers and employment section there ??  What about bursary and student grant ??

I Just started Uni this month and working part time but these have restricted how much I can play and what games to purchase now... but I am impressed with how much my uni is helping people get a job tho.. and the student discount thing along with the discounts I get from my job helps :P

Anyway grats on the new console and the HDD install option is just fantastic!

I'm not entitled to anything in the ways of bursaries/grants, as my parents are high income earners. I'm currently seeking part-time employment, and have some sources of income. My time's also taken up with searching for a placement job next year. I have a loooong way to go until I am in financial trouble... I just account for all possibilities when working out my finances.

Good now you can enjoy Halo Gears Forza and a couple of other lesser games like Alan Wake and Fable.

I got an ex-display (not new but not used) 250gb Xbox 360 slim for £100 ($160)!

Anyway, welcome to the club, it's nice to have two HD consoles.

Congratulations and enjoy the exclusives...however my 3 year old PS3 still hasn't YLOD'ed..even if it had, I'm still getting another PS3...

Welcome. Now let's not waste time, you must learn to be a homophobic racist who only plays shooters with homophobic racist Americans if you really want to represent the Xbox...........I kid.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy your new console and good on you for getting a good deal.

I LOVE paying for Xbox Live! I also love that my love for it pisses off so many people.

If your PS3 starts getting louder, then it's time to open, vacumme, and change the thermal paste on the CPU (GPU too).

I did mine a few weeks ago in September and it runs like the first day I bought it.

Don't forget this advice.  Check you tube for tutorials if needed.

I used ARTCIC SILVER 5, btw.
