Anyway, there's my story of how I got a brand new Xbox 360S 250gb, 2 years extended cover, 6 games, a HDMI cable, and 12 months of LIVE, for little over £200. Pretty good bargain. I also figure that if I get into any financial trouble over the next few months (which, as a student, is likely), the 360 will have very high resale value (still going for £120+ on ebay), so I figured it was a fairly low-risk purchase.

Are you at Uni ?  Don't they have a careers and employment section there ??  What about bursary and student grant ??

I Just started Uni this month and working part time but these have restricted how much I can play and what games to purchase now... but I am impressed with how much my uni is helping people get a job tho.. and the student discount thing along with the discounts I get from my job helps :P

Anyway grats on the new console and the HDD install option is just fantastic!

I'm not entitled to anything in the ways of bursaries/grants, as my parents are high income earners. I'm currently seeking part-time employment, and have some sources of income. My time's also taken up with searching for a placement job next year. I have a loooong way to go until I am in financial trouble... I just account for all possibilities when working out my finances.
