The chances of anyone being invited are extremely small.

I'm waiting to see what pros think of the new units before judging. The Warhound is the only one I have a problem with - it's fast, high HP, armoured, insane damage to Protoss/Mech, efficient cost and no micro needed (extra missiles are autocast).

They're attack speed is getting nerfed and if that's not enough they'll get nerfed again. No biggie, it's a beta after all.

Agreed, but it's just /so/ out of line that I wonder what's taken them 2 years to do. They can make the artwork in a few weeks, the game engine is the same as WoL, and a mech unit that you 1A into things doesn't need much design time. Roughly balancing the game with the help of pros should have been done much earlier than a public beta.

I think it may be more complicated than we think, so far Blizz is doing a pretty good job. I say we leave it to them and see how things go.

It'd all be fine if did the following:

Swarm Host -> Lurker
Warhound+Thor -> Goliath
Mothership -> Arbiter
Viper -> Defiler
Widow Mine -> Spider Mine

Prebalanced units, they already have the art done, can just be slotted directly into multiplayer as is.

They probably just wanted completely new units.
