What....just happened? o_o
360>PS3>3DS?

Seriously, what happened?

What's so surprising about the 360 being ahead of the PS3 in America?

OT: F4 has a worse start off than I was hoping for.

The week could be better, particularly for SW, but really, previous weeks had very big launches, so SW holding with little drop and HW being up for XB360, PS3 and Wii is a nice result anyway. Forza 4 launched slightly better than Forza 3, MS and Turn 10 will be happy. Kinect makes a +50% recovery and it's not to be ruled out that Forza 4 have helped it, unless it be only Sesame Street's merit.

Nintendo's financial guys must be having a coronary.

Good call.

ME2 for PS3 charted in top 40, nice! Last time i seen the price it was $39.99 but i think someone mentioned earlier it's down to $19.99 now, can anyone confirm?

I wonder if Nintendo are happy with how the DS to 3DS move has gone...

They should have saved 3DS for the holidays and cut DS price around March/April. This way they'd ensure massive Holiday profits and plenty of games at the same time...

Sales more in line with NPD now..

PS3 maybe 10k low but better then before NPD.

Actually, they are probably overtracking the PS3.

PS3 had Resistence, FIFA, and Madden release in September, plus the price cut, and even then, it was only selling 72k a week. This week's numbers are 70k, just 2k below that number, and minus 3/4th of the inflation.

All of the other numbers are pretty solid. The 3DS looks overtracked a bit, but not by much. The Wii and DS are almost spot on.

This is all assuming NPD September 2011 weekly averages remained relatively close or the same.

Oh, and Nintendo is not having any issues. 3DS weekly average in September was around 53k. If it really sold close to 62k this week, Nintendo is happy if anything.

Forza deserves better... damn you US!

The bigger story here is that Sesame Street bombed.

Wow, what an asshole thing to do...

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Got a retro room? Post it here!

There's a chance for the PS3 to be #1 this week.

Damn right.  They are losing money on ever diminishing sales... thats scary stuff.

Nintendo financial report which is upcoming soon will be interesting to read... once we wade through all the bullish sentiment it will contain some scary numbers I feel.

oh... and has Reggie Fils-Aime died??? he's vanished.

I don't remember that they have said that they sell 3DS with loss? Still coming quarter results will be probably pretty horrbile compared to ususal Nintendo numbers but they make up to it with holiday quarter. 3DS sales will explode (It gets two major mario games) and I think even the Wii will pull nice numbers. They also still sell insane amount of first party software that brings the most cash.
