I only own GT5 and that video sums up both games in a nutshell.

Watching that video makes me want to get Forza 4 even more.

i have been pretty much avoiding all comparisons of these games, but one thing i saw in that video that makes me want to comment on it is, he says that Forza's sound is decidely better (im not going to say it is or it isnt), and then he shows an example. well, when he showed the example of GT5, i heard it, and was like that sounds like a believable sound that car would make, then he showed the same car in Forza, he said "same car, same volume". i was thinking that car sounded like a rocket ship, it didnt sound very realistic to me, sounded way to over powered, as if it had rocket boosters on it or something. While i could very well be wrong, and that is exactly how the car sounds,  still dont see how that comparison shows Forza has better sound because i would have given it to GT5 based off that it seemed like they were saying louder equals better. 

i think a better comparison would have been showing GT5 rather lackluster sound for car collisions which sound like hollow thuds, and i could be wrong and thats exactly how they would sound, but it doesnt seem realistic to me. Same with that forza cars thunderous reving of the engine doesnt sound realistic to me

One thing that most people don't understand is when you are racing a car it's going to be extremely loud, especially muscle car like that. People expect cars in games to sound like they do when you are normal driving, not racing. Any car i've ever put the pedal to the metal in has been loud as hell (and they have all been lil 4 bangers and vans)

Inside Sim Racing says F4 has some of the best sounds ever in a racing game, they say it's about as close to the real thing as you can get in a game.

 

Anyone who knows what cars actually sound like when they are pushed to the limits know's that F4 has some of the best sounding cars in videogames.

You deserve a ban. Maybe not for something you said in this thread, but certainly for something you said in another one. To (almost) quote the policeman from Isle Delfino: "I'll be watching you, pal."

I still disagree, but I dunno how we can argue the sim aspect. I can't stamp my experience in both games over you and say I'm right because of that, that's just not fair...

This is why I avoided talking about SIM quality.

One thing I can say is I had a PS3 buddy of mine come over to play Gears 3 with me today and we played a bit of Forza. He found the driving mechanics in Forza a lot harder then in GT5. He said that the FR cars we drove went into a drift too easily during a turn, but I think he just needs to get better in racing. He did a lot better with TCS on, but I never use that crap. Either way, according to him, Forza 4 is more challenging to corner cars with, so that theory of Forza being an arcade racer is just bull.
