I wondered what this protest was about; they're protesting the existence of horses. Probably because they're an abomination due to having 4 legs.

lol don't get me wrong I am completely against the protests. But hey when you fail which you inevitably will we should deport your ass to Vietnam and see how you like it. Fact is I haven't been able to find a job for over a year, I even have University and law enforcement training. I find myself having to search for jobs at fast food joints. I know a manager at a restaurant up north who actually hires marketing students to work at his pizza joint because they are trained in sales. Yes marketing students who have degrees in marketing are working at a pizza joint.
I'm sorry but at the rate global resources are running out and the way the globes economies are going. Your beautiful country is going to become a ghetto regardless. There is no way any country will remain as wealthy as some of the western countries are now 50 years from now. You and your precious goody goody life is going to implode around you and then you will be looking at everyone else for help. Unless you succeed to take advantage of others. In 50 years you will be broke as fuck if not laying in a ditch somewhere, then the few remaining first class citizens will be wishing your dead.
Now back to on topic, I am highly against the protests the people protesting are not thinking their actions through at all. I am talking from a global level not just America. Here in Canada we have protests starting and interviews with protest leaders show its just a bunch of pissed off disorganized people acting like five year old. Wahhh wahhh I'm out of work I am pretty poor boo hooo, yes I'm upset I'm out of work and I would likely join the protests if they could accomplish anything.
But the protest leaders have no idea how to fix any of the problems they want fixed. They have no stated objectives (Outside the US) they don't even have common ground. There are some protesting over low social assistance, others over low income housing , others over banks, others over big business, others over wages, others over unemployment....etc....etc... They are not unified in any way and none of them has any idea of how to accomplish what they want too.
In my opinion the protests are a bunch of juvenile adult delinquents. They are trying to disturb the peace and disrupt the Government so that the Government will meet which ever demands they make. However they don't even know what demands they want they all have different demands and no matter what the Governments do they can't meet all of them.
Lets look at the two major demands that are the basis of a lot of the protests.
-Banks, the protestors believe that the Government was wrong to bail out the financial institutions that support the US economy. Well the fact is if the banks went down so would the US economy. If people think the recession was bad imagine what would have happened if all the banks went belly up? Heck if even five of the major US banks went down the US economy would collapse. After a couple banks go under citizens would rush to the remaining banks to try and withdraw their funds this would destroy the remaining banks. Once the US banks have all gone down international banks would get effected taking heavy blows from all the panicking citizens.
-Big business, big business accounts for the majority of employment in the United States. Big businesses don't have to operate in the US and are increasingly finding opportunities around the globe to expand. Say the US cracked down on big business raised taxes and removed incentives. Well a lot of those big businesses would reduce operations in the US/Canada...etc...etc... they would shift focus to foreign markets. This would cost millions upon millions of jobs in the long run, sure small businesses might manage to gain some ground. But the small businesses would eventually become big businesses and they would move to where they can compete easier and make more money.
Then Italy and Greece, the protestors are morons. Yah I get it they are struggling and poor, but their demands such as cutting the proposed tax increases and increasing funding to services and other business sectors. All of these things will hasten the demise of their country. The countries need to reassure the EU that they can actually pull themselves out of this downward spiral. If the country does default on its debt they will essentially go third world, the people who currently have employment many will loose their jobs. The public services that are now being downgraded could cease to exist. The whole country will only collapse further if they default on their debt.
In the end all these protests in all these countries can't accomplish a damn thing. Our Governments are working very very hard to keep our economies afloat. They are working very hard to keep citizens employed they are doing everything they can to help those who are unemployed.
Fact is the Government's are aware of the situation. They aren't stupid and they are desperately trying to fix the economic problems in our countries and the global economy. Screaming , whining and complaining blocking traffic and disrupting peoples lives is not going to accomplish a damn thing except piss off everyone else. Personally if the protests turn violent in the least and by that I mean one car gets torched in Vancouver. Then I hope the police riddle the crowds with rubber bullets and fire in the tear gas. These people are criminals they are conducting acts of economic terrorism and black mail. They have every right to protest peacefully even though their protests won't accomplish anything and can't accomplish anything. But if they turn violent in any way I want to see our Governments take the gloves off and put the unrest down.

Actually I have been in Vietnam and liked the country. Very beautiful. It's quite a shame French/US/Australian forces were withdrawn back then from there while US was actually winning over the territories. What's even a bigger shame if not a crime is that it was done due to rabid commie-sponsored "protesters" so much alike those 99%ing monkeys nowadays.
As for your having no job, don't take it too personally, but if one could take forum posts as CV, possibly I'd not give you a place in a firm either. Don't take it as personal attack (because I really don't care about you or such reaction of yours at all), but you'd better take it as a reality check.

What does PPP mean anyway when USA has the highest percentage of people living in poverty of ALL Western developped countries (yes worse than bankrupt Greece). More than 16% or 1 on every 6 citizens live in poverty and the number is still growing and is expected to be close to 20% in 2014-2015. Around 15 million children in USA don't know if they will get a decent meal today and you come up with something like PPP ...that's ridiculous;. |
lol, I didn't come up with PPP, although I wish I did, great concept, it's Purchasing Power Parity.
just like I described, to call the people in US "living in poverty" is becoming the laughing stock of all from second and third world countries. Do you know the "definition" of poverty in the US?
