I'm not and I am a huge AMD fan. After five years of waiting for a new architecture it comes up short to Intel in every way.

What's with the Sony thing?

It will work in a lot of current motherboards, you need to see whether there is a BIOS update for yours.

for CPUs , i'll stick with Intel, AMD is for GPUs

True but limits some functionality and is actually some not "a lot", some of which are big selling points of the acrchicture like new power management features and there are some issues arround power which could cause problems down the line. And to top it off AMD is not officially supporting using AM3 boards so it's down to the mobo manufacturer to make sure it works etc. High end boards may be ok but a mid to low end board like mine is unlikely to be updated and I am not looking to upgrade any time soon.

Link to where it's stated it limits features?

Otherwise yeah.

can't remember where I read it but I was reading up a few days ago and that's what I read something about not having support for selectively turning off cores during use or something.
