I don't hate him, I actually hope he keeps going the way he's going because he will eventually cause Activision to fail. He nickle and dimes consumers any way possible and is against anything that could actually make Activion's games better (that cost money) such as dedicated servers in games.

Plus if it was up to him CoD4 wouldn't have been Modern Warfare it would have been CoD4: World War II, he (Activision as a whole) was against CoD going modern and changing the series.

Where's your source for all this?
Anyway companies like EA and Ubisoft nicke and dime consumers for their money more so than Activision. How? Online passes.
What about Microsoft? $60 a year for a somthing that's offered FOR FREE on PS3.

Like it or not Activision is not as bad as these other companies.

Microsoft isn't soulless about their gaming, EA and Ubisoft aren't soulless about their gaming.

"He doesn't have any passion in him when it comes to gaming, it's all $$$. I mean lets not delude ourselves, this is an industry and they're here to make money, but that doesn't mean they have to be souless with it. Even Aaron Greenberg enjoys videogames!!"

Seece--7 posts above this one.

there's honestly too many reasons to list, and sadly none are cited (though I once had a pretty extensive list with links and proof.)

Generally it goes like this: Bobby Kotick says: "We're aiming to take the fun out of making games."

pretty much everything he says and does in the press boils down to the following: "I don't care about innovation or taking risks, we like to milk every franchise dry and we're not interested in making games that don't make us a LOT of money."

he's pretty much the accumulation of EVERYTHING wrong with modern game development. He's the one who said straight out that his company is not willing to take risks, they'd rather keep pumping out Call of Duty and (at one point) Guitar Hero...once they stopped making heaps of money, Activision pulled the plug.

I wish I had the energy to go on, but Seece made the main point: There's no passion, only business. That's a bad thing. Innovation is quashed, and it's only worth their time to make games that they know sell.

because he's ruined activision there is no loyalty anymore all he care's about is $$$ he started this whole timed dlc thing which has ruined call of duty for ps3 owners now xbox owners will get a lesser version of battlefield 3 because sony had to reply by getting ea on there side it's ruining gaming as we know it!

and i don't respect ea just as much, even though i prefer the ps3 they are always kissing sony's ass and giving xbox owners jack squat! but to be in there defence none of this wouldn't have happened if activision never ditched being pro sony to pro microsft over $$$

1. Loyalty to hardware makers instead of game creators.
2. The emos and anti-mainstream crowd. "CoD is casual" "He turned Blizzard into evil money lovers"

He told MS he wants a share of XBLive and told Sony to drop the PS3 price, he got both and the consumer got a better deal.

Bobby (well, Activision) have added more value to PCs and HD consoles than Sony or MS or any PC-centric dev have and people hate him and Activision for that success.

How about we ask Blizzard, Treyarch and pre-multi millionairre West and Zampalla?

Edit: Fuck the devs, how about we ask the 20M consumers that buy Cod every year and all those Warcarft and Starcraft fans that willingly pay the equivalent of 3 games a year in subscriptions.

Have Activision ever screwed people over with horse armour or penalised 2nd hand buyers or harmed multiplayer in any way? No, they understand gaming. I don't care if Bobby Kotick is the devil himself if he puts consumers first.

Yes, my boss is good to me. I create more value for him/my company than I recieve in pay but I couldn't create that value without the tools and conditions that my employer provides for me (for free?).
