1. Loyalty to hardware makers instead of game creators.
2. The emos and anti-mainstream crowd. "CoD is casual" "He turned Blizzard into evil money lovers"

He told MS he wants a share of XBLive and told Sony to drop the PS3 price, he got both and the consumer got a better deal.

Bobby (well, Activision) have added more value to PCs and HD consoles than Sony or MS or any PC-centric dev have and people hate him and Activision for that success.

you obviously have no idea what you are talking about.

How about we ask Blizzard, Treyarch and pre-multi millionairre West and Zampalla?

ask them what?

"is your boss good to you" ?

Have Activision ever screwed people over with horse armour or penalised 2nd hand buyers or harmed multiplayer in any way? No, they understand gaming. I don't care if Bobby Kotick is the devil himself if he puts consumers first.

Yes, my boss is good to me. I create more value for him/my company than I recieve in pay but I couldn't create that value without the tools and conditions that my employer provides for me (for free?).

now i don't even know if you are actually fucking serious or just acting dumb.

first of all, i'm not talking about Activision i'm talking about Kotick

second , consumers first my ass, do you know all their DLCs are like $15 ? Fifteen Fucking Dollars, thats like a whole game's cost for just 3 maps  and their games never get discounted , $60 old or new, and not a single fuck was given to the consumers.

oh and as soon as a new call of Duty comes out the older one stops getting supported and get filled with stupid hackers and NOT A SINGLE FUCK WAS GIVEN AGAIN

and stop adding stuff i never said to my replies, i didn't say that to you, and i never asked YOU about your boss.

read throguh this article and decide for yourself, it pretty much tells you what he is all about.

"really rewards profit and nothing else."

"We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games."

"skepticism, pessimism, and fear"

"We are very good at keeping people focused on the deep depression."

depressed developers making "products" with nothing but cash in their mind, or passionate and enthusiastic developers having a lot of fun in creating new games, I will take my pick, and its an easy one.

I don't hate him, I actually hope he keeps going the way he's going because he will eventually cause Activision to fail. He nickle and dimes consumers any way possible and is against anything that could actually make Activion's games better (that cost money) such as dedicated servers in games.

Plus if it was up to him CoD4 wouldn't have been Modern Warfare it would have been CoD4: World War II, he (Activision as a whole) was against CoD going modern and changing the series.

Where's your source for all this?
Anyway companies like EA and Ubisoft nicke and dime consumers for their money more so than Activision. How? Online passes.
What about Microsoft? $60 a year for a somthing that's offered FOR FREE on PS3.

Like it or not Activision is not as bad as these other companies.

I don't have a source off hand but it was in an interview a while back with Infinity Ward, they said Activision was against them making CoD4 a modern shooter. Activision was expecting them to just make another WWII shooter and was against change thinking it was too risky.

If it wasn't 1:24am and I wasn't tired as shit I'd go find a link for you.

Activison wasn't against making call of duty in a modern setting, they were against the rebranding of CoD as Modern Warfare. For good reason, they thought they may loose the rights to the name and wanted to keep the CoD franchise name as is. Where as infinity ward at the time was trying to distinguish themselves from treyarch the other CoD devs. Thats how i remember it atleast.

Oh is that how it was? I thought they were completely against leaving the WWII setting.

Cause he's so awesome.. He knows he's working in a business which for most of the time only losses money.. he doesn't let emotions. loyalty or any thing else get in the way for making a profit.. gamers might not like what he is doing, but he's saving the industry.. what would you rather have.. let the industry blow itself up or pay more to continue gaming?

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I'd rather it blow up and they rethink their business models. For how much money is now spent on gaming there really shouldn't be reasons for it to be so hard for devs and pubs to make money. it doesn't make sense.

He's more upfront and honest then the average CEO and doesn't really BS the fans as much as the rest.
