That would be the way to go especially since it's so cheap.

Anyone know if I could go to a Gamestop in Canada and get this deal?

dito.
Yeah I don't think Sony can afford to pack Move in with every PS3 at the new low price point. I think if they'd decided to hold prices and pack move in with every console they could have afforded that. Perhaps next year instead of another price cut that's what they'll do.
I can;t see anyone ditching motion control. Nintendo won't scrap the Wiimotion. MS certainly won't scrap Kinect and Sony is not going to be the odd man out.
I think the Move controller is second only to KB+M for FPS. My son's 360 owning friend said he was tempted to sell his 360 and buy PS3 & Move purely on the basis of playing a few hours of KZ3 with Move controls (and that's using a DS3 instead of a Nav controller). The only thing that stopped him doing so was that he has so many 360 games it would be rather a waste to convert this late in the generation (then is 360 blew up on him for the second time about a month later (actually disk tray stopped working), but he's decided to re-buy a 360s, again because of his existing game library).
I don't think Bioshock INfinite is really going to do much for Move (nor Move do much for Bioshock Infinite on PS3). For Move to really make an impact in the FPS genre would require Battlefield or COD to get Move functionality. But Activision is wedded to Microsoft in the CoD franchise so there's no way it's getting Move. I could see EA releasing a free DLC Move update for Battlefield 3 though; a bit like for inFamous 2.
Still Move will always be a bit of a let down for me unless/until they give us Sorcery (assuming it's a good game).

Honestly I think Move being dropped and motion controls being dropped from Sony's systems in the future would be wise for Sony. Right now they can choose to directly compete with Nintendo or Microsoft or both. But if Sony returns to classic controllers only with PS4 they would have a massive advantage.
Microsoft has stated Kinect is the future and any future X-Box will definitely support a Kinect like device. Microsoft saw enough success with Kinect to justify making it standard in the next X-Box. Even though the devices sales have dropped very low after initial release software sales remain impressive enough and Microsoft seems to think Kinect is the future.
Nintendo also thinks motion controls are still the future. With WiiU it would appear they are dropping classic control's. Many would argue the WiiU controller is classic but lets face it, the screen in the middle makes the controller unique and a lot different to play on. Also since you will be required to use a Wiimote for any title offering 2 or more players we can see most games will still have a huge focus on motion controls.
Both Nintendo and Microsoft will spend a lot of money, time and resources making sure Kinect and WiiU get their share of the market. But this leaves a huge gap for Sony to exploit. What about those tens of millions of gamers who prefer classic controls? Sure Nex-Box will likely still have a classic controller but Microsoft's focus is on motion controls and its dividing their support for classic controls. Sony could exploit this by creating a classic style console with similar or superior graphical power and processing capabilities then Nintendo WiiU or Nex-Box for a lower price. While the WiiU controller will cost Nintendo a small fortune to put in with each console and Kinect's camera which will no doubt be improved and more expensive costing Microsoft. Sony could create a power house for the same price, instead of investing in an expensive control device Sony could focus all that money on making their console state of the art.
Or Sony could launch a PS4 with similar power to Nex-Box/WiiU and make more profit due to the lack of the expensive control device. Either way I think its in Sony's best interest to leave motion controls to Nintendo and Microsoft and instead focus on their established classic user base!

I don't think it would be wise for them to drop support for it. It actually seems kind of popular. On the PlayStation Blog a lot of people are QQing because the new HD remakes of Resident Evil 4 and Veronica don't have Move support. They just need to release Sorcery already and some other good Move only games and it will be a much bigger selling point for the PS3 console.

No, that would be too obvious and less sensationalistic.

this makes no sense at all. How in the hell does taking away features give them an advantage?? The only person who would have the advantage is the competition(you'd like that wouldnt you?) What about the millions of gamers who prefer classic controls? what a silly question, they will do what there doing right now use a damn classic controller. Just like the xbox users and Wii users use(for the most part). Or here a better idea, the camera that Sony uses is cheap as hell as is the controllers, they already stated that they make profit on everyone sold. So all they have to do is build a stronger camera in the PS4 and still have there funky Move control thing. There classic user base?! What the hell do you think they have been doing, your acting like they are making a bunch of Move only games.
Man, I would have been reported 10 times over if I made this thread. :-p
Anyways, when the PS3 got a price cut did you think the console was being discontinued? Hopefully not.
It's just a price cut trying to move supply and get more people to pay attention to it.
