Yeah I don't think Sony can afford to pack Move in with every PS3 at the new low price point. I think if they'd decided to hold prices and pack move in with every console they could have afforded that. Perhaps next year instead of another price cut that's what they'll do.
I can;t see anyone ditching motion control. Nintendo won't scrap the Wiimotion. MS certainly won't scrap Kinect and Sony is not going to be the odd man out.
I think the Move controller is second only to KB+M for FPS. My son's 360 owning friend said he was tempted to sell his 360 and buy PS3 & Move purely on the basis of playing a few hours of KZ3 with Move controls (and that's using a DS3 instead of a Nav controller). The only thing that stopped him doing so was that he has so many 360 games it would be rather a waste to convert this late in the generation (then is 360 blew up on him for the second time about a month later (actually disk tray stopped working), but he's decided to re-buy a 360s, again because of his existing game library).
I don't think Bioshock INfinite is really going to do much for Move (nor Move do much for Bioshock Infinite on PS3). For Move to really make an impact in the FPS genre would require Battlefield or COD to get Move functionality. But Activision is wedded to Microsoft in the CoD franchise so there's no way it's getting Move. I could see EA releasing a free DLC Move update for Battlefield 3 though; a bit like for inFamous 2.
Still Move will always be a bit of a let down for me unless/until they give us Sorcery (assuming it's a good game).
