That's great and all,but they're taking their time with V.

Just as the Red Dead Undead Nightmare expansion pack sales of 1.5 million are included in Red Dead's 12.5 million shipment total we have every reason to believe that the GTA: Episodes from Liberty City sales of 3 million are included in the total 22 million for GTA4. Thus GTA4 is not undertracked on VGC.

red dead's expansion pack can be played on its own without red dead redemption, just wondering, can gta episodes from liberty city be played on its own.

Also while these numbers obviously are ridiculous, they sadly still having nothing on cod. GTA4 has had many years to sell that many consoles, while activision jugs out call of duties on a yearly bases that sell 22mil+ before the games even get pricecuts.

Apparently San Andreas is still on top. And by a hefty margin at that.

Could this be at 20 million on PS2? We have it at 22.05, although that doesn't include Steam or XBL downloads.

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

Yeah and it will release this year I think. No one talks about it. Will not sell many copies.

At a recent presentation at ThinkEquity's annual Growth conference, which Gamasutra listened in on, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick revealed updated sales numbers for many of the publisher's key games and franchises, including over 22 million lifetime shipments for April 2008's Grand Theft Auto IV.

The new number represents an increase from the 20 million shipped units of GTAIV reported in March, and puts the latest title in the series on par with the 21.5 million shipments Take-Two reported for the PS2's Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas through early 2008.

The Grand Theft Auto franchise as a whole has now shipped more than 114 million units since its debut in 1997, Zelnick said.

Take-Two also reported new lifetime unit shipment numbers for other recent titles and key franchises, including:

* Midnight Club franchise: 18.5 million
* NBA2K franchise: 17 million
* Red Dead Redemption: 12.5 million
* Civilization franchise: 11 million
* BioShock franchise: 9 million
* Carnival Games franchise: 8 million
* Max Payne franchise: 7.5 million
* Mafia franchise: 5 million
* Borderlands franchise: 4.5 million
* The Darkness: 1 million

Elsewhere in the talk, Zelnick outlined how downloadable content has been a key tool for limiting quick used sales of new titles, and a way to quickly build on existing games with content that meets market demands.

"Once we do the core development, which takes a long time and is pretty hard, doing the development related to the DLC in a high-quality way is a lot easier and a lot quicker," Zelnick said.

"At the time we put out Red Dead Redemption in May, we didn't even have a fantasy that we'd be putting out a zombie title [the Undead Nightmare DLC] for Halloween. But we [did], as it happens.

We have 18.07 for GTAIV, so likely undertracked and a 10 million seller on 360 and maybe PS3 as well??

Bioshock we have 6.81, so again, likely undertracked.

Red Dead we have 9.83

GTA shipment is probably 10 million on PS3 and 10 million on 360, 2 million on PC. Remember before the PC release and the announcement that the DLC were coming to other platforms, the shipment split was 50/50 according to T2.

Bioshock 1 is probably a million seller on PS3 now.

RDR likely undertracked. 5.5 PS3, 5.5 360

you should read the earlier posts about how DLC is counted as the sale numbers for GTA4 and RDR.

MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
