Who cares, FFX was terrible. Updating the graphics on a terrible game? Count me in!

FFX > P4

OT: It has to be a deal between SE and Sony - no other reason is logical.

Also that game is HUGE.

Lmao , FFX is huge? i think it consists of many little straight forward linear areas, Besaid , Luca, Kelika ....ect ect

plus there isn't an open world map, just a radar where you choose where to go.

the only place where it was a little big was the Calm Plains, and that is even very small compared to other games , i'm not saying that the game is bad, its actually one of my favorites.

i'm just saying how wrong you are about DVDs can't handle it thing, you obviously don't know about a little game called Oblivion that is if i actually calculate it from remembrance, its about..... 8-9 times bigger than Final Fantasy X and guess what? it fits on a single DVD.

they haven't "Dumbed down FF13" when the game is already Final fantasy on-rails , atleast FFX was a lot of fun, even though it was linear.

Eh, I'm not really that big of a fan of Persona 4 anymore, but it sure is nice to have horrible, douchey characters with no depth and a story which basically revolves around a terrible romance and underwater polo. Also the most linear game ever created, more so than even FFXIII.

Up until this statement I couldn't just call you a random hater. With it, I can. Because you either:

1. Didn't play FFX

2. Didn't play FFXIII

3. Are deliberately twisting facts

nothing personal.

Random hater? Not at all, I've played all of the Final Fantasies (except for the online ones) after VII. FFX only opens up in the slightest after you get the airship, which is after the game is basically done, just the final boss and some random side quests to do if you're actually going to waste your time playing this game. FFXIII on the other hand opens up about halfway through the game and then you can run through huge open fields! Oh the joy.

Unlikely for one reason; Sony paid for the game. Like the original Final Fantasy X, it was funded by Sony.

huh? where did you read that? what's your SAUCE ?

FFX is published by Sony in Europe. Like Mass Effect 1 published by Microsoft.

didn't they also publish Ghostbusters?

More like huge "open" fields on which you can do nothing but battle (heck, that's all you could do in FF XIII), and chapter 10-11 (forgot which) out of 13 is NOT halfway. In time measures, it's about in the same as the airship in FFX.

But since you're that critical of the game, preferring FF XIII to it even, I'm not gonna even continue arguing, sorry man :P

When did I say you could do more? I just said it was more open, which it was. The towns in FFX were great for talking to random NPCs, heck yeah.

I never said I preferred FFXIII to FFX either, because I don't. FFX was not a very good game, but it was playable, despite the terrible writing, FFX-2 was the one that killed off all of the series' reputation. So it's kinda hard to be harsh on FFXIII when the series it is part of has no respect prior to release.

It wasn't open to anything because you couldn't do shit in that game but battle until you're tired of it.
And FFX2 was a fine homage to the fans of the first game with a terrific battle system and cute cast. I don't get the beef with it.

Way to stay on topic.
