Dont think so.

Someone sounds a bit mad. I was talking about it being open in the sense that you could actually walk places, which you never could in FFX, no matter where in the game you were.
Behold, the glory that is FFX-2:
The day the series lost all of its respect.

IDK about you guys but I think this is no doubt coming to X360 also and I would buy this for sure. This just will make the wait for TGS to start that much harder for me! :( Curse you Sony Press Conference! LOL |
Simple answer.
the game wasn't designed for the 360.
You have to realize that most of these HD remake are nothing more than recompiling the code for the PS3 with a few changes here and there.
To have that code compile and be efficient on the 360 you however need heavy changes...

didn't they also publish Ghostbusters? |
Are there any 360 version of Ghostbusters game in Europe? I guess not.
For FFX was published by Square Eletronic Arts in US (a partnership between Square and EA for publich games in NA) and Sony in Europe.
For Japan I guess Square does't have plans to launch the game for 360 due the low sales.
For Europe Square can't do that (Sony publisher).
So for me makes no sense Square spend money to convert a game from PS2 to 360 just for the US market... the fact JRPGs sell better on PS3 plataform just support my point.

Yep, you could walk places. Forward 99% of the time, the other percent divided between left and right. It was a wannabe-RPG on rails.
Also, you rant on about how the series lost all respect and such and such and cherrypick a (rather funny) minigame to prove it and then you call me angry - it's all very ironic and funny and I think I'll fold here since this isn't going anywhere.
| Christhor said: Who cares, FFX was terrible. Updating the graphics on a terrible game? Count me in! |
FF X is universally accliamed so you are wrong, wrong, wrong. For its time, it was ahead of the game by a country mile.

Just like FFX, exactly my point.
I've been ranting? I did not notice, I've been mostly just saying my opinion pretty calmly. I would hardly call a rant something that is two lines. It's not cherry picking, it's a clip showing how shameless the series has become, the series has no self-respect and that mini-game is essentially just a pure concentration of what the series has become.
Win by forfeit, heck yeah!

You have only played the final fantasy games after VII.......right. Your opinion is not really valid so. Every final fantasy game after FF X has been awfull except for FF2. Final Fantasy X is an amazing game with incredible characters and a great battle system. Why does an rpg have to open up to be good.....broaden your rpg horizons man. I am an rpg collector, I have over 70 rpg's and 3/4 of them don't "open up" at all yet they are still incredible.

GTAIV is one of the most acclaimed games of all time. Point?
