Box Office Mojo only updates their international numbers once a week so its way too early to say what kind of legs Godzilla will have overseas. Anyway it will easily make over $100 million in China once it opens there on June the 13th should also make at least around $50 million in Japan.

In the US it actually has a chance to make a bit more then $250 if its legs stay decent and if it plays long enough.

Yes, different websites and studios will count things differently (territories versus markets). There are a few dfferent markets (X-men opened in China but not in Spain or venezuela where Godzilla did), but the difference is not anywhere near as big as thoses numbers sound.

When Fridays numbers came out yesterday I really thought that X-Men: Days of Future Past would have had a decent chance of making over $100 million domestically on its opening weekend. It still did pretty good and very good overseas. Godzilla is easily over $300 world wide a bit over $500 million is pretty much guaranteed now.
Nice overseas opening for x-men..I thought godzilla could've been the surprise hit of the year but it's crap so word of mouth probably isn't very good. Guardians of the galaxy is gonna be huge. Can't wait to see how Maleficant does too
