| Coca-Cola said: Another weak box-office weekend coming up. Argo on it's 3rd weekend could come in first. Things will heat up next week with two decent movies, and 'Wreck it Ralph'. Been playing the game on my son's iphone! it's actually fun. Go 'Wreck it Ralph'! $70m in first week!!!!!! |
Their is nothing really special coming out this weekend so if Argo wins its well deserved I'm hoping Cloud Atlas does good but it kinda got a limited release compared to Fun Size and Silent Hill 2. I'm hoping it does well enough to actually gain a few screens on its second week.

I guess people that saw it actually liked it it has a 7.5/10 on imdb so far that is one point higher then the original. Of course over time imdb ratings pretty much always go down.
Skyfall predictions?

My prediction threads:
Wii U will sell under 40m units (made on 14th September 2012)
PS Vita will sell under 20m units (made on 30th September 2012)
Wii U will sell under 7m in 2013 - I was right

Horrible score on Metacritic and RT though. And it has now gone down to 7.2. Will probably go to 6.0 or possibly lower in the end. |
That's a pretty big rating drop for just one day it might be in the six point range by Monday if that continues. It will make money pretty soon though since it had a pretty small budget of only $20 million dollars. I'm glad that Cloud Atlas did pretty good on its opening day it almost made as much as Silent Hill on 935 less screens plus its 78 minutes longer so it can be shown a lot less often. It should gain a few screens next week. Fun Size should loose a lot of screen I don't see how it got over 3,000 screens on its opening weekend in the first place.

I'm hoping it will be the first Bond movie to gross over $200 million dollars domestically.

Nothing much before it comes out, but after it has a few competitors. |
It's going to need a strong openig of at least 60 million plus and good legs to get over $200 million dollars. Also it will only be the #1 movie for one weekend Breaking Dawn Part 2 will take the top spot the following weekend and the week after that Life of Pie and Rise of the Guardians should be ahead of it also.
This boring weekend is now over.
I know many of you are excited about Skyfall,
but since we are a gaming community, we should be pulling for "Wreck-it Ralph".
I'm taking the whole family to see it on the opening day.
What is your prediction?
I'm hoping for $40-$50 m.
Disney is making better CGI movies than Pixar last few years.
Sounds about right my younger brother is going to see it on opening day. Also Skyfall is off to a great start it already made $77.7 million overseas. If it can come close to that number on its opening weekend domestically then it will have a excellent change of becoming the first Bond movie to gross over $200 million domestically.
New 'Wreck-it Ralph" trailer.
Watch and fix it
