How comes the Japan preview ALWAYS overestimates Hyperdimension Neptune MkII? Only 6K this week. I'm not even sure it can beat the 1st one now... I'm depressed...

Can someone please explain to me why, even though, the PS3 has consistently outsold the Xbox for the past 3 months (worldwide), the gap on the home page between the 2 consoles remains at 3.4m / 3.3m?? In the past two weeks alone the gap should of shrunk by at least 100K... Am I the only one who is puzzled by this???

In addition to what others have said, adjustments are also made weekly to try and get even more accurate numbers :) And from some of the tracking done by members, ps3 has been adjusted down quite a bit over the weeks, other consoles too but to a lesser extent (not terribly sure about this).

Anyways dissapointed with 3ds numbers i wanted it to stay around the 300k mark :( Hopefully it wont fall to low in the following weeks and stay atleast around the 250k mark which falls in line with my predictions :)

I guess the real reason was PS3 just outsold 360 by 10-20k per week... at this rate was needed 7-8 weeks (almost 2 months) to change from .2m to .3m... so in the last three/four months PS3 closed the GAP from 3.4m to 3.2m.

Now the GAP is decreasing a lot faster... 50-80k per week.

PSP software sales are really good...
and there are still great games coming out for it (Type 0, digimon, yakuza)
sigh... wish i learned japanese...
