@Ethomaz - I see you post that GT5 tracker every week, ever think about making a proper GT5 sales thread instead and filling it with more data and comparisons?

When I forget to do this in a week some users begin to ask in this thread ... I don't guess a separate thread would work.

And I already have a shipped/sales (with GT4 comparison) thread too .

Depends. In EMEAA, it's likely, though not by much, Japan will increase the week after next from Xilia, and it may stabilize at 5-10K higher than where it was before the cut in The Americas.

It should stay between 185 & 195k till the holidays (maybe over 200k some weeks). The worldwide gap between it and the 360 will continue to decrease signficantly as well. Should be right at 3 million behind it before the holidays and maybe close it by 500k more during the holidays (give or take).

Why do you think PS3 will go up in EMEAA? Shouldn't it go down after the first full week of pricecut?

Japan: Decent 2nd week boost for PS3, bad drop for 3DS.

Worldwide: Nice 2nd week boost for PS3, not too bad drop for 3DS.

SW: Very good start for Deus Ex: HR. What's that very good selling MHP 3 HD for PSP? Did Sony release a PSP with HD display for it?

No, VGC got the console wrong. It's for PS3, not PSP. It's an HD port of the PSP version.

LOL, I imagined it, but VGC's database keeping both a PS3  and a PSP version entry for it, and putting all the sales in the PSP version was puzzling me. Talk about VGC making pranks and falling itself for them.

Sales begin to go up in September... there are a drop because the price cut in next weeks but after that the sales will go up mainly EMEAA.

Nothing more than a hunch (though as I said, not by much - give ore take 2-5k). In 2009, if I remember correctly, it stayed up in EMEAA for 2 or 3 weeks after the initial cut week. Could be different this time, but it's not out of the question.

How else do people think it will maintain a 200k result until the holidays? :P

I didn't think it would, I thought it would go down to 170,000 and start climbing again as the holiday season approaches.

But I certainly hope you're right.

September is a tricky month. It could very well go down next week, but the following week increase again (aided by the cut this particular time).

One thing's for sure, it's about to have a strong holiday in EMEAA and somewhat in Japan. The Americas it'll do good, but be in third place next to both the 360 & Wii.

Well, I agree with that.

I'm still thinking that if the x360 gets a pricecut @ or before TGS then Sony will lower the PS3-price again with $50,= / € 50,=.
I'm hoping they will anyhow just to see sales explode. :P
