Forums - Nintendo - (Rumor) french site strikes again: New 3DS model in 2012 with dual sticks

The same website who's say Sony was cutting ram to half.

PS4 - over 100 millions let's say 120m
Xbox One - 70m
Wii U - 25m

Vita - 15m if it will not get Final Fantasy Kingdoms Heart and Monster Hunter 20m otherwise
3DS - 80m

They should have did that from the beginning, adding it later doesnt make business sense. But why didnt they put 2 from the begginning still baffles me, its kind of needed.

Not real. This would piss off the people that already own a 3DS and the placement is just awful.

Edit: You couldn't flip your 3DS all the way down with that design.

this

After 3ds cut down the price, now dual stick?
Maybe at some point, 3ds really need it. Why? if you're ever play Resident Evil 3DS and Revelations you will understand it.
Actually not only dual sctick, ninty should switch the location of d-pad and analog.

I'm calling bullshit on this rumor.

The source forgot to mention that the 2 screens will be merged into a 5'' screen.
It will also have back touch function and 3D removed.

I see what you did there.

And it will be called "the PDS".

Currently Playing: Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor Overclocked, Professor Layton and the Curious Village

Anticipating: Xenoblade, The Last Story, Mario Kart 7, Rayman Origins, Zelda SS, Crush3D, Tales of the Abyss 3DS, MGS:Snake Eater 3DS, RE:Revelations, Time Travellers, Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney, Luigi's Mansion 2, MH TriG, DQ Monsters, Heroes of Ruin

Dual stick, seems like a stretch, but why they didn't when surely they saw all the flack Sony got from not putting 2 on the original PSP.

BUT i could see them releasing a cheaper version with no 3D and better battery life, there are alot of people not interested in 3D or cant even see 3D that are just put off from buying it as it seems like a waste of money for such a big feature they wont use. I think a £100($125) 3DlesS would sell very well indeed, but i also think they need to wait to see what happens hen they have software.

Sounds way too drastic for a conservative company like Nintendo, especially considering that all the 3DS doom is overblown (But I said the same thing before the price drop). They might be playing around with the idea but the thing isn't even a year old yet.
