I like the idea but $500 Billion is overkill, if he had asked for something more reasonable, I would have agreed but this is beyond stupid.

The only thing Microsoft owes this guy is a cake and a card saying: Congratulations David Stebbins, you are the second biggest retard of all time.
Our nations court system was intended to serve the needs of the public. Not to be used as a soap box for some new age Don Quixote. This is simply a nuisance suit, and is utterly unjustifiable. Being able to bend the word of the law is not a valid excuse to ignore the spirit of the law. There was no victim here, or any form of flagrant abuse. The fact that companies use poorly worded, and probably unenforceable contracts. Does not mean they should suffer such lawsuits.
I would like to be upset with this gentlemen for wasting my tax dollars on frivolous bullshit such as this. I am very aware that this person has limited control over his actions. His mental disorder having much to do with obsessive compulsive behavior. That said the court system has failed on many occasions. While it is true all citizens should have unfettered access to the court system. It is also true that they should be of a sound mind to represent their position in court. Not only for the benefit of the public, but for the benefit of the individual. His participation in the system should be conditional upon council. At the very least he should need to consult a social worker first.
To all the armchair lawyers in these forums. Cases like this are a disservice to both the institution and profession. Not only does it diminish their standing, but it directly affects your wallet. When the court has to waste time it goes without saying that your the one that pays that bill. Litigiousness for its own sake is directly affects what you will be charged for the more basic services. Obtaining legal records, paying fines, and how long you may have to wait to be heard.
Woe to you guy with a legitimate case to be made. This guy needs to argue for the case that he has a a legal right to be president of jelly bean land. Stop applauding people for wasting the courts time. It isn't some other persons time they are wasting. It is your time they are wasting. Not to mention their are people with very real problems in need of immediate redress. Somewhere there is a guy who got run over by a drunk semi driver, and needs to get his day in court so he can pay his extensive medical bills, and so he can pay to keep a roof over his families heads. Lunatics wasting the courts time are causing him real suffering.

This is what I first thought when I read this.........Dude has no chance to win lol

this guy is a dumba$$, i hope someday he does get ripped anew one by a company, because he deserves to with all his claims against other companies. i have no respect for this guy , he is a complete scumbag and no one with any iq should agree with his practices.

Oh and by the way here's a little something from the service contract: 15. LIABILITY LIMITATION. You can recover from the Microsoft parties for all claims only direct damages up to a total, aggregate amount equal to your Service fee for one month. You cannot recover any other damages, including consequential, lost profits, special, indirect, incidental, or punitive damages. |
This guy claimed $0 in liability. He claimed $500 billion in fees. Very big difference, legally.
Regardless, wasting court time should be a misdemeanor, this is just stupid.
