MS has gone complete nuts if they release Halo 2 HD. The concentration of Halo this generation is making me sick. Of course I have only purchased one. Why don't they bring something like Age of Empires on the 360....that would have been pretty awesome. |
What’s your point? At least Ryse was shown at E3 this year. last guardian was not even shown at this year’s E3 and there is no release date, yet its ps3 fans keep hyping it up like the second coming calling it a AAA when we haven’t even seen game play! Also what about Agent seeing a lot of ps3 fanboys rubbing that game in a lot of 360 fanboys faces yet there has been NO trailer, only a pic of the title! And sony announced it since 09! So ignoring Xbox games because they were shown once or twice in less than a year or so is not reason to ignore them at all. Not saying you’re a ps3 fanboy but a lot of them do have double standards. As for Halo no one is asking you to play it or even follow up on it. Do what other people do that don’t like halo, shut up and follow games you like instead. Most people who complain about Halo on the internet are seen a ps3 fanboys anyways. Yes more RTS on consoles would be nice, there fun to play on PC and halo wars (sorry its halo) shows that it can be done. But than again PC gaming is much better and easier than console gaming so something like age of empires probably won’t work that’s why MS did not bring it cause they probably would have already.

LOL!
You couldn't have put it in a harsher or funnier way.
'Tis true though.

In response to the 'quick cash in' .. and "MS just admit you're doing it for money " ... No company will waste time or resources on a remake unless they feel that its obviously worth it - whether for Nintendo, Sony, MS - No company will ever re-make any game unless they feel there will be a gross profit.. So to me this is truely a reaction to all the request of longtime Halo fans.. Companies that hope to stay alive and profitable do EXACTLY what their buyers want.. 343 industries which is taking over Halo does have some former Bungie employees working there - but most important many of the 343 employees are long time Halo fans - so they know fans have been requesting this re-make.. Also I doubt Halo game play will ever change much because unknown to most people Halo 2 and 3 and Reach have one thing in common - Every game a new project manager made the game and every single game had a different project manager for the online play.. So basically for the campaign or online play every time you'd think the same people and the same manager did the work.. in essence it was just the opposite ! .. Once a game is created, graphics are updated, music is updated, and some game play is mildly changed with each game.. otherwise ANY Good game has something new.. People never want to play the exact same thing.. except maybe COD.. just kidding.. If you can name any companies out there making games or consoles that aren't doing this for a profit please name them. All companies - including the console makers themselves - only exist to profit. Pleasing YOU, or US 'first' is obviously marketed at their first priority... but the REALITY is all of that "happiness they long to give us" is second place to their financial gain. Since they can't actually have a commercial that says "We want you to love our game - especially because we'll sell more copies, profit, grow and stay in business" , then MOST OF US seem to understand companies want to do what fans want so they will thrive. If enough fans want a re-make - they get a re-make.. Sorta basic stuff? Without financial gain those companies can't exist and they dont. And they can't pay their Managers, Artitst, Composers, Graphic designers, Story Writers, Lawyers, Insurance, their janitors or window washers or utilities.. The good thing for 343 industries is profits should be good since the entire game isnt re-made. Contrary to popular belief: The actual original game engine is left almost completely intact - as NOT to change the gameplay people expected and piss anyone off - only the graphics in the campaign are completely updated to 2011 standards.. You'll be able to press a button and go from 2011 graphics to 'Original' graphics at any point in the game or vice-versa..... The online multi-player part of the game is the only part that is completely new ( meaning both engine and graphics ).. Also , sorry this is so long, but I have one more point. Good companies do what customers ask. 343 industries is even going s far t do a TITLE Update for Halo Reach in the coming months it will be released ! They are fixing the things in Halo Reach that long time Halo fans have asked for.. Halo Reach has been out 10 months and is now the #2 best selling Halo game of all time.. For a game to be out only 10 months.. and a company to do a FREE TITLE UPDATE to me says ALOT... most changes will be 'minor' but will make alot of folks happier.. changes to DMR bloom, removal of damage fall.. etc.. I feel with theis update it'll make people happier and also help the game sell more.. it needs 1.4 million more to hit 10 million.. it can probably do this in a year..putting Reach at 10 million at the two year mark.. this will put it only 1 millon short of the #1 best selling Halo game ever - Halo 3.. unfortunately I dont think Reach will pass Halo 3 for #1 spot.. but it could get close.. Halo 3 needed over over 3 yrs to hit 11 million.. but Halo 4 will be released sooner then Reach was to Halo 3 thus there will be less time for Halo Reach to catch Halo 3 |

They wouldn't be necessary if Sony didn't remove BC from the PS3 in the first place.

Except it's false, Halo fans will only buy what they want to buy as seen from Halo Wars and ODST. Quite how peopel buying what they like makes them sheep is beyond me. But to be honest I expect nothing less from you two.

Halo CE has been the most requested of all Halo's to be remade.. Some forget Final Fantasy was on Nintendo long before PS.. so Final Fantasy has some history.. but FF on Playstation(s) have sales around 40+ million units.. thats good.. Halo has sold about the same, close, as a franchise on Xbox.. If enough FF fans really wanted this re-make it would happen, unless Square soft feels there arent enough or they arent listening.

| ShadowSoldier said: .......Microsoft should be spending resources on creating new ips...not milking and damaging the brand of their current ones....seriously? We have Halo's 4-6 confirmed a Halo CE: remake and now Halo 2 might get remade? Games from last gen do NOT need to be remade at all. IMO if a game has aged horribly (FF7 and Metal Gear 1 and 2 im looking at you) then there's ground to remake it... |
I've been saying it forever man. It's insane how they've milked this franchise. Such is the nature in this industry anymore but it just seems so short-sighted in my opinion by Microsoft way more then simple publishers. They had a franchise they could remake and make popular till the dawn of time. At the most they should make two sequels per generation tops. Halo Wars was a good way to keep the franchise relevent while not directly milking their cash cow, but again they released that on top of three Halo FPS titles this generation with another on the way.
Big mistake IMO.
