But Halos? 4 Halos already released this gen, all $60(except CE costs $40). Another's releasing this year. That's $280 for 5 games whereas God of War is $140 for three collections/games.

A $140 worth of more milking.

Three of those Halo games are this gen not last gen titles which offer more replay value than all the God Of War games combined.

Replay value can be subjective. Differs from person to person. A fallout game has the most replay value for me, more so than any multiplayer game. It may be different to someone else.

And wasn't ODST priced at expansion price - somewhere in the region of $40, as it was £25 in UK.

Fact over matter, thinking that this kind of thread which bodes good news for some individuals doesn't attract a variety of individuals who deem it their duty to troll every MS related thread is just plain naive.

Also, shit sells - the only instance where I can put Halo franchise as being milked was the ODST, and that was due to the fact that it didn't have it's own multiplayer component. All Halo's offer different gameplay and variant communities, Wars is an RTS, Halo 3 was the first multiplayer, and Reach is it's predecessor, with drastically different multiplayer.

If this was a single player game, then I'd understand the point, but taking into account all of the CE remade maps coming as part of the map pack AND single campaign, people really need to stop pretending like they give a shit where others spend their money.

What's the release date for Vita's resistance?

While we are talking about Vita, what's the platform's release date again? Outside of japan of course.

GOW i could kinda see, but there has been only 2 Uncharted games, one is coming this year and another next year, not what i would called milked and there have been 3 Resistance games. There have already been 4 Halos this gen with one coming this winter and another maybe next year. More than Uncharted or Resistance. Lets be real here, MS is trying to turn Halo into COD with yearly games, i think thats what people are not liking. They dont want it to fall into mediocority like COD, IMHO. But if people are gonna buy a slightly different game by the millions every year, why not do it??


The only ones not liking faster releases of COD and Halo are the non-fans who would rather not see it continue to dominate the charts ..either because they dont like the game ( when they own the console , or they dont like the game that isn't on their console ).. In either case they are among the minority since FPS's style games dominate both the PS3 and XB 360 charts.  COD is PS3's #1 and #2 best selling game which is hilarious because PS3 fans often make fun of XB 360's best selling COD and HALO and Gears when they fail to see the connection.. Sad fact is for these "I can make the  world the way i want if i beleive it " type of folks... they fail to see or admit kids worldwide prefer a good interactive FPS style game over some boring racing game.. they want to put their skills up against other kids with guns and grenades..  Its a fact that both systems sell more FP Shooters and while others ignore this fact which is backed up by insane sales numbers of COD's and Halo's which sold millions more then other titles.. I guess those jealous would say "Nope Nintendo didnt milk Mario one bit huh?" Im being sarcastic because people wont buy something they dont like.  No one can milk you when you want it..

Its already been proven long ago people wont buy something just because you make it and it exist... they have to like it.. so lets remember that when we talk about someone cashing in.. they wont do it unless there is a REAL demand.. you can't make people buy crap.. People buy consoles because they like the game - They dont settle for games because they like the console..

agree with this, however their are some of us that do care about the series that dont want yearly releases. My ? to you is do you think these devs have enough time to improve on the games or maintain the same quality in the less than year that they have to develop?? COD could kinda get away with this seeing as they have at least two different devs going to rest on each other, but with the major talent leaving IW, id like to see how MW3 will turn out without them, from early indications, it seems that MW3 is not all that, not bad but not all that. But it will sell anyway. MS only has 343 working on Halo and if they have to pump out a game every year it will hurt in the long run. There not even bungie and i doubt any dev could do that without something taken a toll. Im not trying to bust chops but history have shown that these yearly releases end up falling apart in the long run. Tomb Raider, Tony hawk, MOH, GH they are either gone or just now getting back some relevance. The only ones that get away with this is the sports games and even they are not doing as hot as before. IMHO, people will get tired, eventually

I think the reason GOW was brought up in the first place was to show that Sony also milks its franchises (in fact all 3 of them do), to say otherwise is pure denial. What you tried to do with your "fair comparison" was trying to show that Halo is more milked than GOW not that GOW is not milked by Sony.
