Essentially what you're saying is "For those of you who are a part of the mobile gaming audience, here is something that has nothing to do with the games you play, and you need a much larger separate 250€ device to play it on. That approach "this is a hardcore option" doesn't have anything to do with the mobile gaming audience. People who play mobile games do it due to the convenience - they game for a totally different reason, and the same deal exists with facebook users.

you are correct. you have the option to carry a vita around to play games not available on others, along with its many innovative features. its not a phone, its a handheld gaming machine. just letting you know i'm quoting what Yoshida said in an interview.

Now, that's more like it.
No troll is too much for me to handle. I rehabilitate trolls, I train people. I am the Troll Whisperer.
Yep, I'm sure all the mothers who bought a Wii for Wii Fit are dying to run out and play some Demon's Souls now that the PS3 is only $250.

Not because I don't like Sony (last gen, my console of choice was PS2) but because I don't really need two consoles and switching platforms would probably mean rebuying all the games and DLC I own and losing all the achievements I've earned. That said, though, I kinda like the look of Vita and might give it a chance if the launch titles are sexy enough. |
What? Why would you rebuy the games you already own? You'd buy a new system for games you don't have! And nobody said switching primary consoles. Is having 2 consoles out of the questions?

That "new ways to play" idea, particularly for Vita, really differentiates from what's available on mobile phones or tablets and, frankly, what will be available on those platforms over the next three to five years. You're going to see PS Vita expand what a lot of people believe to be true about handheld gaming, and you're going to see a lot of those current mobile phone and tablet gamers come over to Vita. We're very convinced of that. |
The people at Apple must be shaking in their boots over Vita.
I think that Sony can attract lots of mobile casual gamers, by making an android tablet, than offers trough the PS SUITE PSVITA/PSP games; but those are only playable in the SONY tablet because of the hardware specifications. Also the tablet should offer analog controls just as XPERIA PLAY. By doing this, 3rd party publishers would have a bigger user-base and would support the "PSVITA platform" more

Tablet S is coming
MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.
| TheFallen said: Just because it's stating the obvious, it doesn't mean his point isn't valid. 360/Wii owners looking for a second console will be looking at PS3 because of it's attractive price point and impressive lineup (1st and 3rd Party). Newcomers will also be keen on PS3 too. |
That's exactly what I did. I was getting bored with my Wii, and there aren't many more good games coming out for the Wii, so I wanted to the powerful PS3. I got it a month ago, but I got a free 100 dollar Best Buy gift card with it, so I'm glad I didn't wait for the price drop, I would have gotten a worse deal. Although now I could have gotten a 320GB for the same price that I got my 160 for, but I'm not tight on space, so it's not that big of a deal. I got the PS3 because of all the cool exclusives like Heavy Rain, Uncharted, and Gran Turismo. The games look absolutely amazing. I've only ever had Nintendo products before; they are great, and have their own amazing exclusives, but third party titles never appealed to me on the Wii, except for a few. Also the built in Blu Ray Player is great and makes it a good value. I've noticed that online play and the PSN is much smoother than Nintendo's counterpart. One of my favorite parts about buying a PS3 now, instead of years earlier, is that I got all the great exclusives from 2007-2009 for very cheap at GameStop. I hate how Nintendo rarely lowers the prices of their 1st party titles. I love how Sony and Microsoft do that. :)
I'm just so happy that i got my PS3 cuz it's so awesome and I just had to tell everybody!
Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.
Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash
