And all we got from that are crappy PC's and overpriced phones... bleh.
Hooray for oil!

i wouldn't say overpriced phones as google is really letting android get out of control

Mac's i get though we are slowly seeing that most consumers are submissive and don't use most of the freedom of open platforms.

as for oil,i say the more it falls the better, electric cars ftw.atleast we stop war for sometime in this world

Oil is involved in far more things than cars (agree on the electric move, but oil isn't going anywhere)... and Apple could vanish tomorrow and simply get replaced by the far superior products out now. It'd be good riddance...

Oil isn't goin anywhere... soon.

As for Apple simply being bad, as you claim.

They focus on build quality, quality of user experience/interface, aesthetics, portability. These things cost money, of course. You may not care about these things, but many people do. That does not make them bad products. Compare Apple laptops to the VAIO range, or to any of the other brands that focus on quality.

It better not or we are all just about fucked.  Almost all modern medication is created using Petro (in some form or fashion) this includes basically all synethic "natural" herbs.

I am not a huge fan of Apple, but you have to give them some respect.  Going from a Company that peaked at 10ish Million (before almost going bankrupt) to a contender for Most Valuable (money wise) company in the world?  Its amazing.

if only the US government wouldnt have split up Standard Oil....  Hell, they would be right around the value of Japan and China.

Apple are overvalued. They have without a doubt done very well for themselves but they rely on loyalty to a brand and that is something that usually doesn't last forever.

The whole point i iTunes, they lock you in to their ecosystem, and an ecosystem is harder to change than just your phone

Apple are WAAAAAAAY Overated. Their products are overpriced ( 1000 Euro for Mac book pro versus an 500-600 for equavilent windows Laptop). A sim free Iphone 4 is ~579 Euro for top of the range one. For an equavilent say Samsung galaxy S II it's about ~379 Euro. I'm glad i'm in the know.

APPLE gives you a smooth OS also

we might not like it but most consumers who are busy in life and want quick smooth access do like APPLE

Samsung galazy packs hardware but is a very ugly phone with the out of control android OS.

Have you played with a gingerbread phone? Even on my X10, it is perfectly smooth, and is just as capable as an iPhone, but £200 cheaper

Apple have been clever, they didn't get there first with their 2 big products, the iPod and the iPhone, but they did them a bit better than most others, and then locked them in with iTunes, it is a clever strategy, but I do feel that the tide is turning against them slightly and I hope that the iPhone and iPad loose traction as they are massively over rated

yeah i have played with them,Galaxy SII,Xperia Arc to name a few

what did understand by my post of smooth?

i was talking about the whole user experience

for example i was really waiting for ARC,it looks stunning

it came out and there was no symetry to it

xperia is good looking but feels too slim and long in the hands, its user interface has too many options.

more customization is good but not everywhere and everytime.

You said Apple gives you a smooth OS, I assumed you meant in contrast to Android

You can do as little or as much customisation as you want. The UI is mostly the same, but with the benefits of a hardware options button and a back button and extra stuff like widgets. You don't have to fiddle with it at all, you can just use it like an iPhone, but if you feel like it, there are so many things to tinker with

And if you want something symetrical, get a Samsung Galaxy S II. The whole point of Android is that you get a choice form factors, if you find the Arc too long in the hands, get something like the XPERIA Ray which is coming out now, it is the size of the iPhone

No reason gas prices can't go down with those insane profits.
But considering gas is a necessity and apple products are not? Good job Apple!

It's just that simple.

sure android is good where it is but the way it is going brand name and popularity and hype behind iPHONE 5 is not going to be good for android

i like freedom, used to say android is better than iOS when an year back but then i used them and got to know, most of the features are good to have but they are useless which i never use.

most people like set there phones outlook as in homepage and ui to be recognizable which apple easily provides.

here i am talking only about the OS not the hardware

but even the hardware,Apple has done alot better job in design and utility.

Long live iOS games!xD

The only thing I hate about Oil companies, is that when the price of gas started to creep up, SO DID THEIR PROFITS! They are getting record level profits when gas prices are at their highest but claim to NOT be gouging? Bullshit. If they weren't gouging, their profits would remain the same as gas prices went up.

So clearly, the gas prices worldwide are artificially inflated for the oil company's benefit.

Yeah, the iOS easily has the most diverse selection of games compared to other OSs.  Sure, there is plenty of crap but that is bound to happen when you make the iOS open to everyone who will pay the development fee.  There are some really good games on the iOS.

for the people who are arguing, i got all phone OS's that exist, You Jelly?
