As to people saying are the UK police taken lightly over there , I remember the LA riots sparked by the Rodney King trial bringing LA to its knees and a dozen or so Korean store owners laying on the roofs of their stores armed with high calibre automatic pistols shooting at any one coming near their stores.

That only works in the old world..
The rioters are using Social Media to report on the Police Location and numbers and are not forming in huge groups.
They are using BBM and Twitter amongst others to strike at the same time.
This is stretching the police so thin that they cannot police everywhere.
Dont think RIOT think ORGANISED THEFT on a massive scale.

Absolutely, this is no Toxteth or Brixton this is plain old fashioned thuggery with a modern twist... social networking.
When you have no real epicenter it is very difficult to police. This will keep the courts busy for years 
trouble is with most of these guys they have no real idea of what they have done, but it will probably catch up with a few and we will have to listen to sob stories not to dissimilar to the Students who could not protest without destroying on desecrating. Having used the word protest this is not protesting it is more like the 70s on a match day in Tottenham.
