How about this rumor.

Kid Icarus 2 for Wii.

Why a gameboy game for Wii?

I am glad someone else caught that. No one every remembers Kid Icarus 2 for Gameboy.

There were more Wii rumours:

Timesplitters 4
Tales of the Abyss remake
Mega Man Wii
Zack & Wiki 2
Beyond Good & Evil 2

Zack & Wiki 2, you think they'll go there after abyssmal sales of the original? Hmm, kinda doubt it. Perhaps a Banjoo Kazooie revival will show up though!

You think games haven't had sequels for less? There have been plenty of long running series with niche sales. Your comment just shows you havne't done research.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.

Plus, just for the hell of it: Kelly Brook at the 2008 BAFTAs

I think Z&W 2 is pretty much a definite, maybe with a little tweaking but that game didn't cost much to make and it is over 150,000 sales with Europe yet to launch. No Banjoo Kazooiee on Wii BK3 is made by Rare for the 360.

I also think that Street Figher 4 is a sure thing. Proabably will show up later but I think this one is easy. Capcom is dong well with the Wii and I think a port of a fighter would be easy. The graphics haven't blown me away. Frankly if you hadn't told me the game was running in HD the video looks like it might have been for a (Very polished) Wii game.

Final* Word on Game Delays:

The game will not be any better or include more content then planned. Any commnets that say so are just PR hogwash to make you feel better for having to wait.

Delays are due to lack of proper resources, skill, or adequate planning by the developer.

Do be thankful that they have enough respect for you to delay the game and maintain its intended level of quality.

*naznatips is exempt

That was a semi-sequel. Kid Icarus: Myths and Dragons or something like that. I read about it in Nintendo Power.

Project Hammer will be released.

What a crock.
Luckily Disaster is still alive and kicking... or is it?

Based on past information, a typical game needs to sell somewhere between 100,000-200,000 units to be successful on the Wii (vs roughly 500,000 on PS3 and, I assume, 360). Zack and Wiki clearly cost well below average to make given 1) The lack of any advertising (no good, expensive to develop game would be so neglected), and its $40 price point. When all is said and done it should have little trouble hitting 200,000 units, which is almost centainly a profit, and justification for a sequel (which may get more promotion, and in turn end up selling even more units of Z&W1).

Disaster is still in development. Expect to see it at GDC (possibly) or E3 2008 (definately).
