Try August... 2008
| TWRoO said: N64 lifetime shipments----- 32.93 million (This will be pretty much exactly the sales) GC lifetime shipments ----- 21.59 million (as of March 07, I don't think Nintendo shipped any more since then though) GC total sale according to VGC 21.51 million (so rounding to 22 million is a bit of a stretch Zucas) |
C'mon... We could give it a little extra credit ^^
... It was a fine console indeed!

THE NETHERLANDS
Here's a good question, when will the Wii pass the SNES or do you think it never will?
| Krim said: Yep it is enevitable now the Wii will become what the GC never was...a major sucess. |
What the Gamecube lack,
@galaki, so, gamecube sales stand at 60 million ltd (and thats not counting the millions of feet of duct tape :P wii will never catch gamecube sales because every wii sale increases gamecube sales by two... seriously though, i think wii will pass N64 sometime in 2008 and the next goal for 2009 will be the NES (because Snes will be passed on early 2009...)
something like this
N64 33 million september 2008
SNES 49 million March 2009
NES 62 million October 2009
End of 2009 73 million Wiis.
Yay, I just made my first prediction....

I still have my GameCube hooked up to my TV. I hate using the Wii for playing GCN games. IT TAKES FOREVER TO LOAD. And using the Wii chews up (minimal) Wii Remote battery power.
Wii will pass every other previous Nintendo console in sales to date. Of course for SNES and NES its not really a fair comparison, cause with the inflation of the market over the time, which at their time they didn't have the same luxury, their sales would be a lot higher. But of course that's iffing. Wii should pass the N64 by Summer 2008, and will be around that of the SNES by Q2 2009. By the end of 2009 Wii will be Nintendo's best selling console to date.
