I like how most of the people voted it was a let down but there are some here who are getting mad at them. The game must have some problems if that much people were not happy

I didnt like the story - couldnt really get bothered about saving dalmasca from whoever and for me the story is main thing i look for in a game. The main character and his friend (Vaan) had very little relevance to the story. THe summons were relatively weak and had no relevance and later on the quickenings became a waste of time considering the huge damage you could do with your normal attacks. The characters (in terms of gameplay) were exactly the same with the exact same moves and attack list so there was no real point in having 6 characters as they would play the same.

Though as i have mentioned, its great redeeming feature is the gameplay and the bosses. The final hunt boss still makes me tingle with the close to 2hrs i spent defeating him.

Hahaha, look at the people saying that Runa is a hater and trashed the game for the sake of trashing it...
So far, people, he has done a far better job proving that it is a piece of shit that deserves to have the FF name bleached from itself than you have proving that it's an awesome game.

I said I agree with many of his points, and was disappointed in the game as well.  So I don't know what stance you think I'm on.  

That being said, I also said that anyone who can't find a single positive thing to say about the game is unreasonable.  That's probably where your brain got confused.

It's his opinion that nothing is done right in it... it's just as reasoable as any other opinion... even if I disagree with it (the soundtrack and graphics were great).

Yeah, like it or not, I voiced my opinion that he's being unreasonable.  In his reply to me, he did let slip an once of reason when he mentioned the polish.

At that point, my job was done.

The bottom line is, the game disappointed many. We literally have a thread like this every month since its release. It's getting annoying.

How many times must I say: Video and Audio are strictly subjective and only a matter of opinion. I do not like the audio or video in the game because I found the soundtrack grating and the graphics to be uninspired. I said the graphics were technically impressive if you're on an HDTV, but barely better than PS2 graphics if you played on an SDTV, and that the display was broken on SD. I had good things to say but countered them with bad things.

Besides, the rant was a rant, not a review. I wasn't intending to balance the good with the bad professionally, the point of the rant was to point out the many flaws in the game and explain why the gameplay was broken. You want to hear good points about the game? I can do that:

1 - The hunts were really fun and exciting
2 - Gran Pulse was beautiful
3 - SOME of the music was really good
4 - the graphics were some of the best I've seen (providing you were on an HDTV)
5 - I thought the character design was really good (but the characters themselves were bland)
6 - the battles were decent in idea (but poor in execution)
7 - The backstory was actually really, REALLY good (if you were willing to read the in-game glossary/encyclopedia)
8 - The lore they'd created about the L'Cie etc was really interesting.

There, is that enough to prove to you that I'm not incapable of seeing both sides? the problem is that even the good parts were overshadowed by bad parts.
