I don't care about tablets like Ipad. Give me 12-13" ultra light subnotebook with flippable and touch sensitive screen.

I am hooked with Order & Chaos online, playing it on my Ipad 2. It completely erased all my memory about WoW lol. Here are some of the games I recommend from apple store:

-Dungeon Hunter 2 & 1
-Final Fantasy
-Fruit Ninja
-Angry Birds
-Tetris
-Bejeweled Blitz


It is also great for Facebook, tweeters, online browsing, Youtube, Netflix and watching other video format.

I can't touch type on a touch screen. I don't own one but I know how the cycle goes:

Big ass Computer
PC
Laptop
Touch screen phone
Tablet computer-better
Tablet w/ keyboard
Laptop
PC
Big ass computer

It's just a big, endless cycle.

I have an iPad 2, and MUCH prefer it to notebook computers for what I use them for. Notebook computer keyboards generally suck - keys sometimes don't function correctly, they're spaced strangely, etc... and the touch keyboard for the iPad is actually very good. Interfacewise, it is much more user friendly.

As a replacement for a Desktop computer? No, not really. I use a Desktop for different things... Civ 5 and writing scripts mostly.

I have an android tablet. A few weeks ago I was conducting a training session for end users on how to use an application I wrote. The tablet allowed me to make seamless transitions from the theoretical and practical portions of my training syllabus. I was training operators with the application on the server machine, and then would direct their attention to my tablet when it came time to show them some slides on the software architecture. Yes, I could have done this with a netbook/laptop, however, those devices are not as convenient as a secondary display as they weigh more and are harder to position in a location that is convenient for all to view while not deferring substantial focus from the primary display (the server machine in this case). Also, at this point the tablet is seen as a "cutting edge" device and many of my customers have positively commented on it and shown interest. This gives my clientele the sense that they are dealing with a company that is on the forefront when it comes to utilizing new technology. Obviously that will not be the case in the future, but for now it does make a difference.

Finally, the light weight and convenience of the tablet allows me to review documents and diagrams while I am traveling. Again, I could do this on a netbook, however they use more power and are not as easy to position in tight spaces. All that said, I am firmly a fan of tablets at this point. The 10 inch screen is the sweet spot IMO; applications are better viewed on tablet than on smartphones.

I am always into new gadgets and tech, but i can't type on touch screens either. Even at work with our POS system i have issues. I don't know what the deal is, my fingers are even pretty skinny but it always seems to register in slightly the wrong spot. I dont even have a smart phone yet because so many rely on touch screens and i like my buttons.

For all those people who say they can't use a touchscreen keyboard all I can say is you better start getting used to it because everything seems to heading that direction. But for now you can look at the Asus Transformer with the keyboard dock. It really is a great piece of tech. I love mine. I can use my tab when I want to, but then if I need to get some "serious" work done, I just dock it and type on the keyboard.

Yes and no. I still have a mouse and keyboard for everything i do (even the work POS). I have a feeling there are enough of us that we will still get the products we need. And its not that i can't use them its just more difficult than it needs to be. I am sure they will get improved over time. Other than that any touchscreen i do get i make sure can be used with a stylus.
