To be honest, I'd rather wait for a 9th gen handheld. Nintendo has always made their systems backward compatible, and I feel that 3D is here to stay now that I have played the 3DS.


I personally consider it somewhat unlikely that the next Ninty handheld will have both 3D and dual screen - it's quite limiting from a design perspective. So backwards compatability might not be perfect next generation.

Lucky. I am still torn between getting the 3ds and PSV. :( Unless the PSV manages to regain my interest, I may side with a redesigned 3ds with Paper Mario, LoZ OoT, Mario Kart, Smash Bros., and Super Mario 3ds. Step ya game up sony. :P

That's my plan, but I'm one generation behind. Hope I actually play the backward compatible games. When I got my 360, I only beat 1 XB1 title, it was Halo 2 (Halo 1 I beat on PC).

Well that 3D TV/PS3 bundle is a steal, less than 800$ (US). Considering how much you paid for your 3DS I kind of figured you had a little bit of disposable income =P

well there's disposable income and then there's DISPOSABLE INCOME! lol turthfully, i contemplated on just getting a PS3 slim to replace my dead fat one. But having sold of all 20+ of my games, 2 move wands, navi controller etc. I felt that It would take more than $280 just to rebuild my library and rebuy those wands. Plus the 3DS games are about 20 to 30% cheapter than ps3 games. so getting the 3ds with the 3 games was the more logical choice for me.

I know, i was also thinking about waiting for the vita (not to mention was contemplating on buying a new ps3 slim), there's no doubt in my mind that the vita will deliver awsome graphics and great games much like the psp (which i love by the way). But the vita is a good half year off from releasing. You could always buy a 3DS now, and when the vita releases, if its what you really want, then just trade the 3ds for a vita. Me, depending on the games that releases, may just favor the 3ds and just get the vita when theres a great deal for me.

I finally got my 3DS to connect to the internet. It took me all night! well, the fact that i'm using a crapy usb 3g modem on my laptop plus not having a router was the reason why i had a hell of a time trying to get the 3DS online lol! finally managed to turn my laptop into a hotspot which the 3DS can connect to. Personally, before the update, it was hard for me to recommend the 3DS. After Nintendo added the eShop, its all been nothing buy good times.

i could relate a bit since i tinkered with the 3DS before updating and it had a bunch of stuff that kept on saying "available on update" or somthing like that. when i updated, everything was now accessible! AWSOME!

Now i just got a notification about the pokemon thingy. I was like, "what the hell?!" I care not about pokemon. But I downloaded it anyway since you know, its free, and i just love free stuff. So, it somekinda album thingy or whatever and says that i can collect more data if i play pokemon balck and or white..wuuuut?!! now i'm curious as hell and am looking to get a copy of pokemon white or black (I'm guessing these are DS titles so it will be a bit cheaper) just to find out more.
