I finally got my 3DS to connect to the internet. It took me all night! well, the fact that i'm using a crapy usb 3g modem on my laptop plus not having a router was the reason why i had a hell of a time trying to get the 3DS online lol! finally managed to turn my laptop into a hotspot which the 3DS can connect to.
