So, I just bought a Nintendo 3Ds (1 month used) for about $280.00. It came with 3 games (Super Street Fighter 4 3D, Dead or Alive 3D, and Ridge Racer 3D). It came with everything in the box including the AR cards less the box. (yeah, turns out he left the box in his other house but no biggie as I could care less about the box as I’d most probably would just throw it away).
Anyways, after playing and fiddling with the 3Ds for about 3 or so hours, which is the battery charge that it had when I got it), hardware wise, it is a very nice and sleek piece of hardware. The design is nice and streamlined much like the DSL or the DSi which is why I think that there won’t be a redesign of the 3DS anytime soon.

Dual outer camera – I had a blast taking 3d pictures! Its great! I could just take 3d pictures all day and stay amused!
3D – I tried the 3d on SSF4 and DOA and it really works! I had no problem looking for the sweet spot nor did I feel sick or anything from transitioning my eyesight from the 3d screen to looking at something else. Its great! I love it! Just getting to play SSF4 in 3d just boosted the games appeal 10 folds!

The d-pad – it sucks so much that I could cry. It felt crappier than the original xbox controller’s d pad. Its just horrible!
Overall, the 3DS is a great piece of hardware and well worth the purchase for all gamers, Nintendo lovers and Nintendo haters! This is a must own console if your are remotely into gaming.
On the game side, SSF4 is still that, a good fighting game. But due to the 3d, I felt more drawn into it. If you’re a SF fan, playing SSF4 on the 3ds is the way to go.
DOA still played like all DOA. I didn’t feel like tossing the 3ds this time since they apparently toned down bosses cheeziness. For those of you expecting boobies bouncing in 3D, look somewhere else as the DOA girls’ breasts dosent bounce in 3d (which is a shame really :P)
Rdige Racer 3D – dunno, haven’t played it yet as I’ve been hooked playing DOA and SSF4.
I said in one other thread that I didn’t care much about ssf4 or doa, but playing them in 3D just turned my interest level from meh into yeah! Now, I’m looking forward to getting Zelda and play it in 3D and more games just so I can play in 3D!
So, as a final word, the 3DS is well worth buying now! Even if there aren’t any games that you’re interested in right now or in the near future, playing other games in 3D will instantly make you love it! (or at least like it enough to play it :P)

After spending more time with my newest gaming hardware, I got to tinker with the other stuff in the main menu and here's what i think of them
Mii Maker - much like the one on the wii. nothing new
Face raiders - much like those free games on cellphones with cams. nothing new but a welcome addition. good enough to wast 5 mins of my time
Mii Plaza - I really cant comment much on this as 3DS owners are very very very rare. even walking along a bunch of people i still have ZERO Miis or what ever its called. really a shame as this is one feature that sounds really cool. Here's hoping that hte 3DS population here will increase in the next few moths
Wifi - it took me the entire night just to get my 3DS to connect to the internet. not that is the 3DS' fault. setting up the connection on the 3DS was easy as pie. only problem was that i'm on a slow usb 3g modem with no router. I had to turn my laptop's wifi signal into a hotspot. I used connectify and it took me a good 3-4 hours just to get it configured right. lots of trial and error. but no biggie, I was able to update my 3DS and got the Spotpass option thingy. more on that later.
pedometer - in the past, i use to turnoff my handhelds while walking, but with the 3DS' pedometer funciton, i now leave it in sleep mode. and getting coins just for walking? that is an awsome concept. i mean, i walk a lot as i always take public transportation and being rewarded for something that is part of my daily routine ins awsome! too bad the maximum coins awarded per day is only 10 coins. I usually record about 4-5k steps per day. but hey, 10 coins for just taking my regular route is better than just walking and getting nothing.
Spotpass - while tinkering with the connection settings on DOA - and there was this turnon spotpass option. i turned it on and...nothing..but after updating my 3DS last night, there was now an option to turn on automatic download for spotpass. I was like, what the hell is this spotpass thing? so i left it on and left my 3DS on sleep mode overnight. when i woke up...nothing...but when i booted DOA, i was surpprised to see that the game was installing a new constume for brad. so, i tried it in training mode, and there it is! a new dlc costume for brad! FREE! awsome! too bad it wasnt for one of the girls as i could care less about the doods if you know what i mean...this spotpass thing is one great idea. I hope more games implement this sort of thin. only problem is that i missed most of the costumes and according to the schedule, the last costume (brad's) was due out today and nothing follows.. buhuhuhu... i hope they do a repeat of the other costumes so i can get at least some for the bages lol. looks like there's gonna be a reason to buy games on or at least just after launch.
Battery - drained it for the scond time playing. lasted about 4-5 hours on a combination of gaming in 3D settings set at max and tinkering with the wifi. overall, i'm satisfied with the current battery life of the thing. It'd probably last longer if i didn't always use the max settings on the 3d.
After more time with the 3DS, I still say its an awsome piece of hardware. and with the spotpass, pedometer, coins, and the potential of the mii plaza. The 3DS is well worth its price tag (especially for me since a got a good deal :) ) to those who are waiting for the PSV, i can understand how you feel as i myself am a PSP person. before I got this 3DS i was playing my PSP (well, technically, its my sons hehe) for hours. In the past few weeks, i have clocked in more than 220 hours of playtime playing Gods Eater Burst. But since i got this 3DS the other day, I havent had the urge to touch the PSP and am content just playing around with the 3Ds' dual cam :P it may be just a faze or something, but this just plane fun to play with. I'd probably get a PSV some after launch, or until i can get a good deal used haha. but owning a 3DS right now is the way to go! engjoy the now and live your gaming life to the fulles and worry about tomorrow when it comes. Or you could live your life to the fullest by living your real life hahaha!
