It made it the market leader for the month (and is infact still the leader). The Wii is dead. Xenoblade and SS are the only games which may push sales. It meant the Wii is still in touch with the rest, so yes. It did OK.

After adjustments I doubt it.

and laughing out loud at Xenoblade pushing sales

That's the point. It won't push consoles, but then again, nor will Zelda really.

When your biggest SW seller is a niche JRPG, the first proper one in the console's 5 year history, you know you're in trouble.

(Also, after adjustments, I still reckon it will be on top in June.)

No, you said they may push sales, I said no, stop trying to squirm out of everything you post when someone corrects you.

Pre adjustments we have Wii selling 130k more than 360 for month of june, 360 was undertracked 200k and Wii overtracked 130k, do the maths, you're suppose to be good at that.

OT: unless they wanted a meh effect ..no. I can't believe some actually thinks this is what they wanted out of a price cut smh

You reckon that the 360 can be selling around 120k a week in June (using the 85% rule or whatever it is), with no new games, price drops, bundles or anything? I don't.

I reckon that the Wii was well overtracked by NPD this year, and so it was adjusted accordingly in the data, and the same (but in reverse) for the 360. I don't think it takes a genius to realise that a 350k+ gap in 5 weeks, so 80k a week gap between Wii and 360 in unusual...but there you go.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

It had a LOT of deals and that PC deal. NPD have 100k a week in US alone ... but of course you don't want that to be true.

350k gap??? The gap would be 200k, seriously what is up with your maths 0_o

@ MUGEN, glad I entertain you

I think it's met Nintendo's expectations. Not exceeded, just met.

Yes absolutely.

Nintendo wanted to show the game industry for the last time that NSMB Wii, SOFTWARE, can sell more consoles than a $100 price cut on the 'hottest' console ever made. What this means is that if they had half of Nintendo's talent they could all be billionairres on 2 or 3 games.

Edit: Those 2 or 3 games don't include Xenoblade or Pandora's whatever.

Don't Play Stationary 4 ever. Switch!

No, Wii did so horribly awful it's not funny.
And it's all NoA's fault, down with them.

You don't agree that NSMB Wii had a bigger effect than both price cuts combined?

You don't agree that only Nintendo and Activision have the talent to make 10-25M sellers on a consistent basis?

Or, you don't agree that Nintendo was trying to prove a point?
