  • Bad Company 2: Only played the single player, which is cliched, slow and lame.

  • Half Life 2 Episodes - Despite the fact that I didn't much like HL2. Bored of Episode 1 after about half an hour.

So all in all, not fantastic, but not awful either.

I recommend you try the multiplayer. 'Tis great if you have any friends to play with you.

??? You're one of the very few that I've seen/heard say that.

OT:

  1. Shatter - pretty good but way too short
  2. BFBC2 pack - one of my favorite multiplayer games ever already. Single player not so much
  3. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory - have not tried yet
  4. Plants vs. Zombies - awesome little game. Funny, addicting and challenging at times.

I actually find the Half-Life games birung as hell to :| I can see the quality in them , but they are also waaaay overhyped IMO. Hell, I managed to finish Quake 4 sp, but never finished more then half of HL2 :)) No pun intended

Recettear, Empire: Total War (and Napoleon), Flight Control HD, Terreria, Dwarfs!?, Zen Bound 2, and Zombie Driver.

And fuck me, I forgot to get King Arthur. Maybe next time.

BIT.TRIP.BEAT - played a little, enjoyed it.
Lead and Gold: Gangs of the Wild West - played when it was free, some of my friends own it
Flight Control HD - probably play it when I have nothing else to do
The Polynomial - just got this one for the ticket
Beat Hazard - Ultra - I like what this DLC adds to the game
AI War Bundle - probably will not like it very much due to it's interface, but I don't regret it since some of that money will go to charity
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Retribution - I like the series, and since this one ditched GFWL, even better

In total: 18,95€

Got 30 tickets in total, redeemed:

Veteran's Helmet for Retribution - I'm a little disappointed it's just a Space Marine skin for multiplayer
AaAaAAA!! bonus missions
Killing Floor characters
Berserker Suit - even though I don't have the game, yet
Magicka content - ditto, don't own game
Golden Ship - maybe now the ship will be easier to spot when things get hectic
Summer Shades
Portal Snorkels - again, don't have the game
Defense Grid maps
Alien Breed 2 - hey, free game

Bought:

  • Half Life: Opposing Force

I regret nothing.

Recettear : Awesome game, very hard at the beginning, totally hooked now

Jamestown : Played a few hours
Defense Grid : Resurgence pack

Not a lot of game, cause my backlog :/

Dead Space 2 - Loving it
Grand Theft Auto IV Complete - Modded it's awesome, originally it sucks. Definitely worth $10 though.
Terraria - Awesome
Just Cause 2 - Pretty good, worth $5
New Vegas - Barely played so far, but enjoying it at the moment
Beat Hazard - My one regret, this is crap.
Civilization V - Best purchase of the sale.

Overall I did great. Bought awesome games that I wanted to play, and really enjoying them.

If I had to rank the purchases (based on quality, not value):

  • Audiosurf - A brilliant and innovative title.
  • Bad Company 2: Only played the single player, which is cliched, slow and lame.
  • Fallout: New Vegas - Haven't played yet, but will start soon.
  • Half Life 2 Episodes - Despite the fact that I didn't much like HL2. Bored of Episode 1 after about half an hour.
  • Just Cause 2 - Very happy with this purchase.
  • Star Wars: Battlefront II - For the sake of nostalgia. Tip: it's a lot worse on PC than on consoles.
  • Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory - A lot of fun. The controls are a little fiddly, but much better than the original.

1) Just Cause 2

2) Chaos Theory

3) Audiosurf

4) Battlefront II

5) Bad Company 2

6) Half Life 2 Episodes

n/a - Fallout: New Vegas (but I'm sure I'll love it)

(Former) Lead Moderator and (Eternal) VGC Detective

I purchased the THQ bundle. A pretty neat list of games for a good price. I regret not getting Just Cause 2 or Civilization V

Shogun 2 was the only title I bought, and am in the midst of downloading now! cant wait to try the game out.

Discussing Half Life 2 with other people is one of the most frustrating experiences I can have, because I think I am literally the only person on earth who doesn't love it. And I hate jumping into multiplayer without finishing the campaign first, but I cannot endure 10 hours of walkwalkwalkshoot cutscene escort quest.

Well, luckily the campaign is very short. Took me about 6 hours, maybe 7 to finish on normal. And I agree with you that it sucks, but the multiplayer completely makes up for it.

Actually i never bothered to finish it too ;) Best things to come from HL 1&2 were separate mods for multi: CS,DoD, TF
