Actually Square Enix as a PUBLISHER has been pretty good, getting Eidos was a good move, makes them more global, I think people are thinking of them as developers, as developers they have been sucking hard, at least on the consoles.

Jeez, their games are downright embarassing. It's not even funny. |
bu..bu..bu...but what about Saints Row and Red Faction....?
Seriously though, their games are horrible and their relatively new(yet already dull) logo can not hide this. They are a synonym for crap and always have been and always will be.

But they are trying to catch up to the big and serious publishers, all the while looking to find acceptance by the hardcore gaming community. I have no idea though why they didn't change their name yet. No selfrespecting hardcore gamer would admit that he plays Toy Headquarters games... |
So that's what their name means....
Yeah well, I once tried to eat an onion but failed miserably. My point is, trying is not enough, and sometimes you end up puking over your teacher's shoes.

Nintendo of Europe has been great so my vote goes to them.
Silver goes to SEGA. While they have made some weird decisions (which company hasn't?) they have supported new and often risky projects way more than any other publisher.
Rising Star Games takes bronze. Them not localising Arc Rise Fantasia was annoying though, but it's not that big a deal for me.
Worst one is Square-Enix. I expect way more from such a huge company but they have been beyond disappointing this gen. When I think about what Square and Enix delivered during the 4th and 5th gen and then look at their "accomplishment" so far this gen I can do nothing but shake my head.
Bandai Namco has been pretty horrible as well.

Wow it looks like most people agreed with me that SE was the worst this gen.
I also forgot to mention that Sony and Nintendo were extremely good this gen as well. :)

Your last statement about Square-Enix was exactly what i was thinking about, but just was not able tp put in words
Hope they get rid of that Wada guy and hire someone who actaully knows how to publish/develop good quality games for the consoles. :)

I totally agree with carl, but I might just say Sony and Nintendo. Nintendo wins for me because I enjoyed almost all their games outside of the wii series. With Sony it depends on the franchise and developer behind it. For example I disliked Insomaniac but I loved Sucker Punch and Naughty Dog.
Worst is Microsoft outside of Lost Odyssey and Mass Effect Edit: Add in PRG as well (which was very early on) it has been one miss after another for me. Edit: Basically a rant about how they started off really good and decided that they already convinced enough people and started going in the other direction.
This is personal, obviously the real answer would something like Midway as the worst. Does anyone even remember them?
