The thing is do you really want to play the 49 games you got?

yes, they are awesome.

I love free arcade games as much as the next person and PSone classics but im spending my money on real games like Uncharted and Mass Effect 3. No offense to anyone else who pays 50 a year for these games. Oh yeah and please don't try and take the real games comment out of context.

Just a couple of days ago I was thinking how malicious it is to release the U3 multiplayer beta just about the time the welcome back PSN plus for one month expires to most of us!!
Smart, Sony, smart!

Heh actually i think i want to extend my subscription after that 30 day free period ;)
Just waiting for confirmed July list.

PS+ looks good only on paper. For this past year I didn't see anything for what I normally would like to pay. Now I got this free month and don't even bother to use it.

Critter Crunch

Comet Crash

Stacking

Burn, Zombie, Burn!

and more....then yeah...im shocked lol

Well I've sure made the most of the free month of PSN plus. Bought quite a bit of discounted content including Braid which was 80% discounted. Brilliant. But I won't be extending it to a permanent situation. Too much temptation in there. But it's value for money no doubt about it.

Wow, that's a lot of money to be saved.
And I would be totally over it if I just had more spare time. :/

I hate to be that guy but....I didn't even go for the free month of PS Plus that they offered when the PSN came back. I have a decent collection of games and probably spend more on DLC and downloadable games but I've been unable to find anything that the PS+ service offered for me. Maybe God of War Collection before I bought the disc, but that's it.

Of course, Me=/=Everyone. I'm sure there are people out there that have really enjoyed the service and more than got their money's worth. For me, it's just like when Gamestop sells games for dirt cheap because they weren't selling, anyway. If I wasn't interested before, I'm still not going to be interested just because the price dropped. If Sony did this: Offer some sort of voucher for $2-$5 towards the purchase of ANY game, I'd jump on it.

And don't take this as the ramblings of a Sony hater (defense mode activated). The day the PSN came back up, I downloaded Dead Nation, Wipe Out HD, and spent $50+ of my own money downloading all of the DLC for PAIN. PS+ looks pretty compelling based on the argument presented in the OP. In practice, it hasn't won me over, yet.
