Forums - Sony - Playstation Plus: One Year Later *analysis*

No offense to the OP but the argument that you never actually own the "free" games is not ridiculus. As far as I see it your not getting any free games, your just renting them very cheaply. All the other features are very good value such as discounts and the like. My only concern would be if Sony ever decided to stop PSN+ (very unlikely in the near future) but would you then lose all of the supposedly free games.

Or, it is like you have a subscription that enables access to a library of content.  This is like you have with OnLive (their subscription service), Gamefly, Netflix, and other music subscription services.  The price point may be different, but the principle is the same.

Around the Network

@ Zlejedi, possibly depending on the game. If i'm offered something for free i'm not going to take it if i don't want to use it in the first place.

@ Richardhutnik, yes that's my point it is like a subscription/rental service but Sony has marketed it as you receiving games for free. The OP stated that this was a ridiculous argument which is what I was trying to point out isn't true. Like the example I gave previouly many different things are given as free gifts but then you have ownership of the item and you can decide how long you have access to them

Although the "free" games expire if you don't renew psn plus anything you buy at a discount is your indefinetly.
