first response from Nintendo on Facebook:
"Hey fans, we appreciate your enthusiasm. Look for more updates to come soon!"

Sounds more like a canned response to me.  I doubt they're going to annonce them THAT soon.  We need to keep the campaign going, we can't let it stop here.

oh I agree completely, just wanted to give an update on the situation. For all I know the "more updates to come soon" could mean nothing more than "somebody will say something at some time"

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

There is no excuse for the games not to come here they just don't want to bring it period.

Sorry for being rude, but you sound like a whiny toddler here. Do you seriously think Nintendo "doesn't want" to bring games here? Why the hell would that be? Do you think they hate you or video games or sales or something? If they aren't bringing it, they have a good reason not to. Why would they risk losing fans for fun?

I'm loving the fact that people are getting together and making an effort to convince Nintendo, but some of it is getting ridiculous.

Exactly.  It's one thing to want the games, but it's another to demonize Nintendo and even Reggie.  I personally am not fond of Reggie or any of the executive branches involved with Nintendo (or ANY company for that matter), however trying to make them antagonists and acting like the world is out to get you does not accomplish anything.  It only makes us fans look bad.  We need to be civilized about this.  We must not make extremes.  We must face this rationally.

Rol beat me to it but I'll ad to say that if they had a good reason then why is Europe going to get it?

Sounds more like a canned response to me.  I doubt they're going to annonce them THAT soon.  We need to keep the campaign going, we can't let it stop here.  Besides, I think this is just a setup for more disappointment.  Everyone -- DON'T FALL FOR IT.  They are NOT going to announce anything on XB, TLS, or PT, we need to keep the campaign going.  They think we are responding to SONIC AND MARIO, not the three games.  The updates are not REALLY going to be what you want, don't fall for it.

I don't think they're that stupid. While i agree this is likely a canned response for now (it is only Sunday, after all. All the higher ups are still at home). If they have an actual human reading these, they know they're not jabbering about Mario and Sonic, and then this shows that they're paying attention

They're only digging themselves into a deeper hole if they ignore this after saying that. "Look for more updates to come soon! As in never!"

Stupider things have been done, but i would hope Nintendo's more savvy than this...

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

UPDATE: Nintendo has acknowledged the campaign on their Facebook page!

"Hey fans, we appreciate your enthusiasm. Look for more updates to come soon!"

Progress is being made! But don't let this mean you're going to back down. Now is when the campaign needs to pick up the most!

If Nintendo is truly interested in targeting the "hardcore" demographic with the Wii U, the smartest possible thing they can do right now (besides allowing up to four tablet controllers to be used at once) is to target the damn hardcore demographic RIGHT NOW. They have a year before Wii U launches, and all the Wii has coming out is Zelda and Kirby. Not good enough. That allows for more than enough time for gamers to just forget about the Wii brand before the new system launches. If they dropped Xenoblade, Kirby, Zelda, Last Story, and Pandora's Tower every other month until Wii U launches, then they'll keep people focused on the Wii brand and have a better chance of a successful launch.

This would also go a long way toward convincing us hardcore gamers that Nintendo really and truly cares about appealing to us.

Some have been wondering if that wasn't their plan all along, at least on NoA's part, to merely quietly dump the games in early 2012 as a way to keep gamers quiet while not actually making "new" content to Wii while they rev up for Wii U

And if they weren't planning on doing that, likely that's what they will do if they react positively to this campaign.

ok guys, for all of us who want to play these 3 awesome games:

let's all support the already-strong team : )

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

I'm campaigning even though I will never buy one of those games:)
