Let's hope it stays that way for a respectable amount of time. This cannot be ignored.

Indeed. It is one thing for XB to be #1, but it's only going to stay that way if fans don't drop the ball after this victory. Now we've got to find a way to let NoA know that there IS a demand for this game (TLS and PANDORA'S TOWER also, although I'm kinda OK with the latter title not coming over since it wasn't all that successful--unlike XB and TLS, it cleared only about 30k, never cracking the 170k mark like both titles have.)
#1 in video games? Ahead of Skyward Sword, of Uncharted 3, of Gears 3?
No fricking way they can ignore that. While neither title will touch any of those 3's day one sales, that definitely means that enough people are in motion about this to upset the results of the largest online retailer in the USA, and defeat games that are still actively selling as opposed to a game that might not even reach this country

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Not really. They are not the best news outlet out there. edit: I am an idiot :P
However, I am very much impressed by the strong response this has gathered. RESULTS NAO!

Indeed. The game clearly has an audience in the US, it's up to Nintendo to give us the goods. This is only the beginning though, it'll be interesting to see just how long it can retain the #1 spot. The longer it remains at the top, the better, any and all positive exposure (including the Wiki paragraph mentioning the campaign) will only serve to help the cause, and the game. I have faith, and the campaigners aren't showing any signs of letting up. We'll see how it goes, in any case.
Also, Operation Rainfall now has an official Wikipedia page

I hope they notice this, if they ignore all the comments and petitions and don´t localize at least one of those games, i could see a lot of boycotts, specially for the Wii-u, which is supposed to cater to the "core" gamer, and how can they expect to gain their trust if they could not even bring those games to America, considering one of them will be all translated just waiting to be released? very bad move in my opinion.
