No No No Nintendo is not the victim, they may actually be the badies( in the sense of teasing) and fans for believe the fake list alot of that is just ideas with no blueprint on real hardware choice.. the "We pledge are support" list is a old age gimmick to help Xxcite, Fans, other Developers not quite on and investors, Those are just a list a ppl they approached and the developer said sure .. and NINTENDO MS and SONY add them to the list... doesnt actually Mean anything is production though..just a confirmation we will support it... when and how much wasnt clarified. Basically you jump the gun |
It doesn't really affect me since I don't have the time for 1 new game per week. At most, 1 per month (but still ended up buying more than I could possibly play).
Dry spell may be an exaggeration, more like occasionally drizzle :)
Back on "the list", didn't 3DS have one of the biggest list of support ever?

you damn right it did... and even more reason to question it. Look at Kinect, Kojima nearly feinted at the tech... wheres Kojima's Galaki? Wheres SE, Namco Bandai? you know all those developers the "pledged" support? MS is the only person makin kinect games Vita had 79 Japanese developers .. why was there only 3 Japanese games one from SONY if they had so many hmmm? phony thats what.. not to say those developers wont they jusy dont have anything now |
The manufacturer's obviously compile a list of all the developers that have dev kits. They then list these developers as supporters and name their projects as TBA or list what the publisher developer tells them to list. Having seen the list last year I am not all that suprised most of the games promised on that list are coming to reality. Heck I never dreamed I would own a platform with Dead Or Alive, Street Fighter and Tekken and the new rumour that one of NamcoBandai's products could be a new Soul Caliber.
The only thing is the list of say 30 confirmed projects from last E3 hasn't grown this year. The developers are still making the games and as such the games haven't been revealed. To call 3DS launch weak would be insaine during the launch months several multi-million unit franchises came to 3DS. They may not have sold those million units but the franchises were strong.
I think the same thing will happen to Vita. Sony announced tons of projects but they won't all be in the launch window and many will take a year or two to develop. Sony will have a choice launch all of its big guns (First Party games) in the launch window, or spread them out like Nintendo is doing. Both strategies have their advantages.
Anyways I don't think the line-up lacking for two or three months is anything to whine about. The line-up is good enough for me!
