having single handedly revitalised the industry with the 3ds and wii, I believed nintendo would be a dead cert to continue tradition.

But things have not gone to plan for the kyoto giant, the tide seems to be turning. I mean they say the wii u will be as powerful as the ps4 and

next xbox console, but they are missing the point. These consoles have not even been announced, and since when has Nintendo been concerned with raw power.

With slow sales of tthe 3ds , things are a little worrying. Having enjoyed their games for years, I hope they can turn this around.

What does everyone else think.

This. Also, if this gen has taught us anything, it's to always expect the unexpected.

the next xbox will obviously win it. They already announced it will contain the best cpu and gpu money can buy. The console will be the size of a handheld and have a high def screen so it can be played on the go or hooked up to a tv. MSRPP for this console will be 99$ as microsoft found an ingenious way to make silicone chips for free. They have managed to get timed grand theft auto and call of duty exclusivity. The other consoles get the titles 5 years after they release on the xbox. Also microsoft recently found out that they had helped nintendo originally make mario and they have the rights to the trademark so all future mario games will be on the xbox as well. Nintendo also lost the rights to pokemon from the man who created the concept when he was 4. Microsoft quickly bought those rights up as well so all future pokemon games will be on the xbox.

Why am I under the impression that you made this thread solely so you can promote your "beautiful friend?" That being said though, I will say the xbox 3 because it is its turn to win.

I remember someone saying how the consoles next gen will follow individual lifespans instead of all three being together as a unit like previous gens.

For example, the WiiU might launch in 2012, the PS4/720 in 2013/2014, and then the next Nintendo console in 2017 or something. I think it would be quite hard to determine a "winner" if that's the case
