Forums - Gaming - E3. How it has changed? Did noone win E3?

I agree. It was hard to pick this year.

But I still have to choose Nintendo. Sony's was good, but I'm not sold on the Vita. Microsoft...Kinect, ugh.

Whereas Nintendo's had Wii U, which looks cool (and the whole Zelda thing looked sweet!), lots of 3DS games, including Luigi's Mansion 2 (!), Skyward Sword which looked awesome and a renewed focus on 3rd parties. That, for me, was the best part. But it certainly wasn't as good as last year...

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

So wait, graphics decide the winner of E3 now?

Depends on how you want to spin it, if the category you wanted your company of choice doesn't do it for you, you find something else that's easier to work with...in this case, Graphics! Hope that helps ^_^

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

I think the only people that say no one won E3 this year obviously have a personal bias against Sony.

Why? Because people aren't interested in vita? I have gamerscore on wp7 games. That over vita for me any day of the week. I have a console for amazing graphics thanks. And nothing apart from uncharted 3 interests me on ps3. Don't like infamous much. Killzone is average to me next to halo HD remake and gt was replaces years ago with forza. As for the lesser exclusives out on ps3 this year and next, is much rather buy the awesome 3rd party games coming our way and ryse and star wars kinect. Sorry, but I prefer the variety 360 gives for both quality core and quality casual games. Vita bored me to no end. Smartphones and in particular wp7 Xbox live is the way forward.

Sorry. Not everyone on this site loves sony. ( Well 80% of the site does )

ROFL, SW Kinect over actually DECENT games... and a damn cellphone over a powerful and innovative handheld... yay for a fictitious sense of accomplishment with achievements!

I think that your bias is now written in stone with this post.

Lol. Sony fans just don't get it. I've been around the block with gaming. I've owned every system except for jaguar, ps3 and Wii. However k have had extensive time with all.

Imo handheld gaming is fiddly and stupid. My opinion. However the fact that smartphones have great lil games is a bonus. And now I can also earn achievements on a bus. Double bonus. Sonic 4 looks perfect on my phone. Juz like love arcade. So I'm very happy. To me psp, ds, vita are just weaker versions of there big brothers. Same games just smaller. No thanks. FIFA 12. Oh FIFA 12 vita. Just crapper graphics and cut modes. You get my drift. Completely not interested.

As for kinect. Many so called hardcore gamers are stuck jn their stupid ways. I grew up with gaming. Its refreshing to see things change. I have been getting bored of x Japanese game with button mashing. Or spiky haires kid takes kn the world with jump here, cutscene. Shoot that. Cutscene. Star wars kinect will be great fun with mates. I love star wars. And can't wait to laugh with my fellow star wars loving friends. Ryse looks equally cool. Finally game nights won't just consist of shooting competitions and sports titles.

A breath of fresh air if you ask me. Gaming was becoming stale. I couldn't care less if people think I'm not a hardcore gamer. But at least I'm comfortable with where my life is. And how my life has changed since my first commodore 64 at the age of 6.

You're only looking at the bad handheld games if you think handheld games are just inferior versions of home console games. Handhelds excel when they distinguish themselves, and the most widely appreciated handheld games are testaments to that fact.

"Finally game nights won't just consist of shooting competitions and sports titles."

Not sure what console you've been playing, but they haven't had to consist of only those for quite some time...

Well I ain't gonna pay 30quid for a portable game that's unique against all the actual great console titles I've yet to purchase. I'm good with paying a 5er max for portable.

Beat em ups are good for game nights, but ur suggestions will be welcome.

Which is fine if you're unwilling to pay, just don't dismiss all the handhelds have to offer out of hand. Lack of time to invest in them is more valid, as that's my reason for staying Nintendo-only...

Beat 'em ups, co-op platformers have made a good comeback, racing, and proper party games

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Do Battlefield 3, Skyrim, BioShock and Mass Effect 3 all run in 3D?

Cba searching it, and I'm curious.

Please stay on topic, guys. This thread is not for discussing and insulting each other's gaming preferences.

To be honest id rather spend money on another console for the price of 3ds or vita. As for the suggestions. Yeah we do that already. But the experiences are all the same. Stuff like ryse and star wars will give great laughs and a completely different variety.

Child of Eden today was amazing. Me and my mates were all hooked and had the best game day we have had. So much fun.

Yeah they were all pretty close to each other....the only reason why MS was the winner for me was because of the Halo 4 announcement.
