Lol. Sony fans just don't get it. I've been around the block with gaming. I've owned every system except for jaguar, ps3 and Wii. However k have had extensive time with all. Imo handheld gaming is fiddly and stupid. My opinion. However the fact that smartphones have great lil games is a bonus. And now I can also earn achievements on a bus. Double bonus. Sonic 4 looks perfect on my phone. Juz like love arcade. So I'm very happy. To me psp, ds, vita are just weaker versions of there big brothers. Same games just smaller. No thanks. FIFA 12. Oh FIFA 12 vita. Just crapper graphics and cut modes. You get my drift. Completely not interested. As for kinect. Many so called hardcore gamers are stuck jn their stupid ways. I grew up with gaming. Its refreshing to see things change. I have been getting bored of x Japanese game with button mashing. Or spiky haires kid takes kn the world with jump here, cutscene. Shoot that. Cutscene. Star wars kinect will be great fun with mates. I love star wars. And can't wait to laugh with my fellow star wars loving friends. Ryse looks equally cool. Finally game nights won't just consist of shooting competitions and sports titles. A breath of fresh air if you ask me. Gaming was becoming stale. I couldn't care less if people think I'm not a hardcore gamer. But at least I'm comfortable with where my life is. And how my life has changed since my first commodore 64 at the age of 6. |
You're only looking at the bad handheld games if you think handheld games are just inferior versions of home console games. Handhelds excel when they distinguish themselves, and the most widely appreciated handheld games are testaments to that fact.
"Finally game nights won't just consist of shooting competitions and sports titles."
Not sure what console you've been playing, but they haven't had to consist of only those for quite some time...
