Forums - Nintendo - The Wii is an awesome console!!

The Wii might have had significantly less 'hardcore' games to play on it, but I do like that anything that was put on the console was pretty much exclusive and unique to the system. And, I'm not sure if it was due to lower dev costs, but the titles seemed to be more adventurous overall. Not the best games, but some great ones.

Oculin's Box - Sometimes I think about video games when I'm not playing them.

I love my Wii, easily my favourite home console this generation. It has a blend of fantastic 1st and 2nd party support (SSBB, Super Mario Galaxy, DKCR, etc) and very limited 3rd party support, but IMO easily the best 3rd party game this generation (Monster Hunter 3).

It is and will always be a fantastic platform and I can't wait for it's successor, the Wii U.

it might be an awesome console ,especially for fans of nintendo first party games. but i think wii has been the worst maket leader ever games wise.

yes thats correct and E3 was proof of that with hardly any new wii games, i only have wii play and wii sports left i highly doubt il buy any games for it now. i am going to keep it though for the backwards compatibility

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

While I do think it is the worst market leader ever, it is definitely not a bad console. I guess the Mario and Zelda games kind of prevent any Nintendo console from being worthless lol. But it also had Metroid Prime 3, Firem Emblem, Brawl (even though it;s my least favorite), Monster Hunter Tri, some rpg's. It's a good console.

Nope.

For my taste the Wii has the best games of the current consoles (Xbox360, PS3, Wii).

It has the fantastic first/second-party games like Mario Galaxy, Twilight Princess, Paper Mario, Endless Ocean 2, Mario Kart, Kirby, Metroid Prime 3, Fire Emblem ... etc.

And the Wii has a very good third party games too, like Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, Fragile Dreams, Muramasa, Goldeneye, MadWorld, Prince of Persia, Little Kings Story, Darkside Chronicles, Resident Evil 4 ... etc.

PS2 was my least favourite console to lead the market; I almost became exclusively a handheld gamer during that era because the only game that was really new and exciting feeling was GTA Vice City - I sort of ignored GTA3 because all I cared about on it was the Scarface soundtrack, but that one could be included too. PSX was my favourite. Wii is the best Nintendo console to lead the market.

Although Wii U will probably be better.

http://forums.g4tv.com/showthread.php?t=94040 - I suspect now that Wii U was Nintendo's MEGATON announcement.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

@d21lewis: Have you played Kirby's Epic Yarn? My Wii game of the year so far (it was relesed in EU only this year). KEY is briliant and a typical example for me why Nintendo consoles and handhelds are great systems by default. Nintendo systems will always have the best 1st party games in my opinion.

Skyward Sword and Xenoblade Chronicles are THE upcoming Wii releases and I hope we will get The Last Story and Dragon Quest X one day.

Agree revolutionized the gaming industry and it will be better when The Last Story and Xenoblade comes out for it too!

Anyone who's breaking the law is obvious a criminal.

You can't spell awesome without "wes". Does the Wii have a cousin?
