This quiz is odd, the personal ones are easy to answer because I have opinions on them, economic ones not so as it's some stuff I don't or didn't understand fully.

Your PERSONAL issues Score is 60%
Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 40%

Economic is quite easy imho.

End "corporate welfare." No government handouts to business.-

they are asking if you belive goverment should use tax payers money to protect corporations from bancrupcyto protect work places.

End government barriers to international free trade.- this is really simple question if you belive goverments should protect their internal markets by using various duties and taxes.

Let people control their own retirement; privatize Social Security. - this is a question if people should be forced to give a part of their salary for goverment to fund their future retirement or should they receive full salary and then choose how much and in what way they want to save for their retirement.

Replace government welfare with private charity - this one is asking about goverment using tax moneys to help poor people or if you as individual should be able to decide what charity and how much should get from you. Typical reasoning is that private charity wastes much less money and is lot more sucessfull in reaching people in need than goverment organisations.

Cut taxes and government spending by 50% or more - this one is a choice beetween current model where goverment takes care of a lot of things vs goverment lite which only takes care about most important stuff like law/defense.

Statist next to Conservative =.=

We're all liberals and conservatives now. We've defeated fascism and radical socialism. Now many of our nations are social democracies.

We want to preserve our liberal institutions (a free market, democracy, human rights, etc), but we need to make concessions and realize the destabilizing nature of total freedom (cyclical economies, market breakdowns, inequality, prejudice, racism, corruption, etc) and thus we need to take action to prevent that.

What the 50's were all about, was preventing another Nazi Germany from arising again. Now we have the Tea Party, politicians playing chicken with our country (debt ceiling), a generation of elderly and college graduates afraid for their future and security, and a feeling of disappointment with politics.

It's almost ironic, we're sort of like the conservatives after the French Revolution. We see what we have now as something fragile and needing to protected.

Your PERSONAL issues Score is 70%

Your ECONOMIC issues Score is 10%

According to your answers, the political group that agrees with you most is...

Liberals usually embrace freedom of choice in personal matters, but tend to support significant government control of the economy. They generally support a government-funded "safety net" to help the disadvantaged, and advocate strict regulation of business. Liberals tend to favor environmental regulations, defend civil liberties and free expression, support government action to promote equality, and tolerate diverse lifestyles.

By that description it sounds more like socialism not liberals ;)

Centrist prefer a "middle ground" regarding government control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention and sometimes support individual freedom of choice. Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind, tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what they describe as "practical" solutions to problems.

This has been posted once before, and as I said then, this isn't accurate. It's a quiz by a libertarian site. They want you to get a libertarian score. They make all of the statist proposals sound absolutely ridiculous.

Not that I am a statist - I AM a libertarian. That's the confusing thing here. They have a highly stereotypical view of libertarianism as being GOVERNMENT SUCKS ABOLISH IT!!!!!!

I would rather not have somebody judge me based on ten questions, thank you very much.

This test is much better, but still not perfect: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=120961

Libertarians,

Libertarians support maximum liberty in both personal and economic matters. They advocate a much smaller government; one that is limited to protecting individuals from coercion and violence. Libertarians tend to embrace individual responsibility, oppose government bureaucracy and taxes, promote private charity, tolerate diverse lifestyles, support the free market, and defend civil liberties.

The test conclusion/analysis is BS. I am libertarian but also conservative and extreme nationalist.
