An FF7 remake of any sort is impossible right now for a console.

The company Square Enix as we know it is not capable of making it, period.

I know that this is just another stupid rumor, BUT PLEASE MAKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Part of me wants to think it will be a while because they need to make V and VI first but the other part of me knows they're hurting for money and anything VII related will make them money.

If it's true, expect a series of stills or the opening cinematic and then nothing for three years.

how many times have we heard this as much as it would be financial sense for S-E to do this it's just not going to happen i think we need to just realise this and move on and besides they'd probably screw it up anyway

With all the games and movies that spun from FF7 they could easily add stuff to the game. It'll probably be a remake with like 10 more hours of gameplay added to it. They could totally add a playable FF7:AC at the end of the game too. Or add Kadaj and his "brothers" as a secret boss or even Genesis. Expand on the Turks or even something about Zack and Angeal.

Geez how badly do we really need to see 16-bit graphics in HD, like extremely sharp sprites? lol jk I know you mean HD remake and not HD port.  That i would definitely love as well.

OT:  Regardless of any rumours throughout the years/decade, I always believed a FF7 remake would only occur if Square was dropping down hard so i can see this happening soon in a more realistic sense.

Exactly how I feel, Square teased us back in E3 2006, it isn't fair.
