Maybe the Wii will get some software to give it a push as well. You never know... if it had some significant new stuff it would probably have been better off - I still reckon it will have a decent end of year. And may well still come out as the best seller of the year...

If Nintendo give Xenoblade a  $30 Million marketing budget Wii will have its killer app for the year.

Project Cafe was announced and the Wii doesn't have any recent marquee titles. What did you expect? Nintendo prematurely euthanized the Wii. And taking out Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort and replacing it with Mario Kart was a bad move. Mario Kart is solid software and it does have mass appeal but it's not Wii Sports-level popular.

i hope Sony cut the fukkin price when Infamous 2 release...

Wii price-cut at the lower end of my expectations, we'll see how it holds next week (when the price cut will have the biggest effect in EMEAA and Japan (if there was one there. I think people just cut the price because it was 'in')). Close WW, PS3 barely in the lead, due to LA Noire no doubt.

Also, the new Wii ads here in the UK are done by Brian Blessed. 500k next week confirmed
