360 supply highest its been in over a year. Either slightly undertracked here (NPD says so... EMEAA?), or building supply for a price cut?

Did you see my last post spot on! (I didn't adjust for the small post NPD adjustments the other day, would have been 2.3)

I think 1.3M on shelves is fine for this time of year.

its not 1.3 is it?   but you are right, on second thoughts that level of supply probably is about right..

Yeah you're right. 1.2M on shelves.

Q3 always has ambiguous shipments. Companies are getting stock into the channel in anticipation for the holidays. Look at Q3 2009, Wii had 3 million in the channel. Speaking of which, where is the old shipped vs. sold thread that went all the way back to the DS/PSP launches in Q4 2004?

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

makes sense that Wii is low in supply now, demand is lower than ever, but Ps3?

don't mind my username, that was more than 10 years ago, I'm a different person now, amazing how people change ^_^

I think that the 360 is just right, WW. Maybe a tad undertracked. As an addition, I think it's undertracked in America but overtracked across EMEAA.

Can't wait to see the rest of the shipment numbers now!

To have the same amount of consoles on shelves as this time last year,

MS need to ship around 2.2 mill 360's
Sony need to ship around 3.4 mill PS3's
Ninty need to ship around 3 mill Wii's

spot on 360,not sure what can i say about Wii

PS3 1 more week(guess between 3.0~3.5)

Oh right so VGC could be right on with wii then, just over 1M on shelfs sounds totally reasonable now.

Did I read somewhere that Sony is a bit short on 160Gig skus? I think it was a report about Aussie sales. Not a big market, but it's possible Sony might have a bit less than 1 million in supply if a few markets like Aussie are a bit down on retail availability.

A 23 million people market. Smaller than the Netherlands + Belgium :)
